K/R - Wild Side Wrap Dress

So, this dress has a very wild side to it. I most definately need to wear a cami under this or figure out how to discreetly safety pin the top. This would primarily be for work if earns a place in my closet.

Thoughts? Should I keep it or should I return it?

How do you feel in it? I've been eyeing that dress too, but it is a lot of pattern for me. You look great - definitely making me more tempted.

This is really interesting. It's a lot more dramatic than the more ladylike wraps you have already purchased. I really like it, but it's definitely making a statement. How do you feel about pushing the sleeve up on it? Because it's a bit shorter, it feels a bit more summery, somehow. I agree with Fern - it wants to go out on date night!

I currently have one wrap dress that I kept - a graphic black and white. I returned the navy blue one as i decided it was really a size too big and that is what contributed the pajama look. they were sold out in the next size down.

Silhouette is similar on this one, so maybe I will tire of it. Not sure as these are the first dresses I have worn in 8 years.

Do you think repeating the wrap dress silhouette in a variety of colors and patterns is not a good idea for looking stylish?

A this point, I know wrap dresses and pencil skirts play well with my figure. Wrap dresses as well. Bootcuts, and straight legs for pants. Knit tops that skim my figure rather than make a tent. Would love to find a few nice button downs, but have not yet found one that fits in my price range.

Just kidding. Well, sorta. Have not had a night out in a long, long time. Only once since DD was born.

It sounds like it might be a bit much for work.

I love this dress on you. I personally wouldn't have a problem with collecting wrap dresses if I decided they looked good on me. But that's how I am--I like to stick with a narrow range of what really works. If you're the type that soon will want to scream when you see a wrap dress because you've worn one once too many times, maybe you should be careful.

Depends on your work. It wouldn't even get an eye-blink at my place of work. I think black tights and a black cami and you're in business. I LOVE this on you, so I hope you keep it!! I think the scale of the pattern is particularly flattering on you.

Ah, I missed that you returned the other one! I don't think two wraps is enough to tire you out on them - and really, the threshold is different for everyone. I think it could definitely go to work with a cami.

How fun is this! I think this wrap is different enough from your other one to justify it's place. Of course, it'll need a cami, but it's very flattering, and is terrific for going out. Try it with a jacket, too, for work.

I agree that the sleeves are crying out for a good scrunch. They look a little wide at the bottom, and are a bit of an odd length. If you don't like scrunching, they could easily be shortened and tapered to 3/4 length.

You look beautiful, and your expression makes me think you're liking this!

This is a gorgeous dress, pls keep! I would wear with black tights(opaques or sheers), then I would change to a different black(or dark navy) belt, perhaps an obi with long ties, too- if for date nights?:-)

I have to admit, I was only contemplating it because DH loved it. The wild for me pattern is the only thing I worry about. Suz is right, it is not as ladylike as I normally wear!

DonnaF you can have my share of sheath dresses. I have yet to find one that fits! I think wrap dresses will be one of the only dresses that work for me because they are more accommodating of a different size top and bottom. They also seem to give more "allowance" for the girls as to where the waist on them falls.

Different camis & footwear will switch up the look a bit too. White cami & nude sandal for summer. Black or navy if feeling demure. Green to pick up on the bit in the pattern. I'm even wondering how it would look with the light pastel scarf I believe you have!

Oh, my, I really love this dress. It looks so good on you, and the pattern is simply gorgeous. Totally work appropriate with a cami. Can be styled so many ways through different seasons, too. A beautiful wrap dress.

Great dress! It looks lovely on you. You need a second base cami underneath so you don't have to worry about pinning it.

These are really nice because the are not bulky, stay in place and do not show through your clothes. They are soft and don't add bumps in the back. I have a bunch that I wear under too revealing clothes in the summer time. You can probably get cheaper ones but honestly you get what you pay for with these. The second base cami's are just the very best!

This dress is stunning on you, I really hope you keep it! Even if you decide it is too I much for work I would still keep it for all the out of work occasions when you want to feel fabulous, as you certainly look so in that dress.
