K/R - Vest (Sleeveless Blazer)

Today I returned the two tops that didn't get the YLF approval and bought this black vest (waving to Una, Deborah and Rae) in exchange. I do not own any thing like this and this would make a great summer topper for my weather, if approved by you all. I am not sure how it should fit, so I am on the fence. This is very comfortable though.

Here's the vest styled with different bottoms.

1) With boyfriend jeans and lime top (I am not sure what happened to the colors here!)

2) With skinny jeans and lime top (this color is closer to real life)

3) With a lace pencil skirt. Not sure if this works?

4) And since I loved the orange top from last time, I decided to duplicate it in white. I can see it getting a lot of wear What do you say?

I really like vests. They add polish...the third piece. I really like #2 & #3. I think it works with the lace skirt because my eye sees it as a sleeveless blazer.

I think I would like #1 but with a different top. I like the contrast between pumps/sleek vest and tattered jeans.

Thanks for letting me know vests are back! I wore them for years and still have a couple in cedar closet!

I really like the vest on you . I just bought one like it in white and wore it for the first time last night Can I suggest you try it with a sleeveless top underneath. That can also be a great look in the summer.

I like it - I have a thing for long black vests and this is exactly what I have in mind. The skirt and white top look great too!

I think it has the effect of elongating and slimming you, especially in pics 2 and 3 where the bottoms are dark. I just bought a thrifted black vest and am loving it. It's also great over leggings and a snug top.

Karie - This one's not from Target (I am not in US). It's a polish brand called F&F.

I have sized down on the vest. I wonder if I should buy my regular size for a more boy friend effect?

I like all versions! I think you should keep it. I wish I'd seen this thread before returning my vest the other day. It had been hanging unworn in my closet for over a month because I couldn't figure out how to style it. Echoing spoff's suggestion to try over sleeveless tops.

Karie, I found the Target one to be TTS.

Keep it! It looks lovely on you.. Like Spoff I too suggest pairing it with sleeveless tops - I really like that look personally. I like vests paired with jeans or shorts so look 1 & 2 work best for me.

I was already sold when I read that this would be great topper for your weather. You obviously know what you need.

Big vote to keep after seeing the photos. It is versatile and looks great on you. I love all styling options.

And the white top is fab. I love the orange one, so this duplication is a clever move in my book

This is one brand that really gets me and I love that they have trendy choices of good make at affordable prices. They are expecting more colors of the top in the same style this week .... Guess who's waiting

You look great! I think the vest works really well in all of these, and I am particularly partial to the pencil skirt looks. The white top over the pencil skirt is really lovely.
