K/R - Universal Standard Bae Boyfriend Crop Jeans - ETA better pics

It has taken my eye quite a while a adjust to the wide crop pant silhouette. Maybe I just have not found the right pair? I welcome your thoughts on these Universal Standard Bae Boyfriend jeans. Is the leg width ok? What about the length? They are not super wide as I just wanted to stick my toe in the trend to see if it works for me.

The denim fabric is substantial and heavy and has a very nice hand. It is 92% cotton, 7% poly, 1% elastane. Pants also come in a blueish red that was very tempting but a bit too much of a statement for me but would be great on someone else!

Last photo is the best outerwear option I could find - black puffer bomber. Does this work? I had to lighten the photo substantially so my apologies for poor quality. What length coat do you wear with wide crop pants?

Greycat6, I think you look great in these jeans - a nice fit. Changing up the silhouette of pants can take a while to get used to - these are definitely looser than a skinny jean, but not as wide as many jeans out there.

In terms of what outerwear option - I often look to Net-a-Porter to see how their stylists put together different looks. Personally I love the long trench option - but these are some looks that may help give you ideas.

i think these look great! (to me this look more straight than wide, but it's probably just the way they photographed)...
re the coat...i wear this silhouette all the time and i wear all my coats, short like you're wearing, coats that hit between the thigh and the knee, coats that hit at the knee....to me it's all good...

Looks like a great fit, but definitely not a wide crop, per se. And I second Bijou's suggestion to look at NAP - their styling is above reproach .

exactly waht lisa p said....and I'm going to have to look at NAP more often myself! I'm not so much into trendy silhouettes these days but do love to see them and take away some color ideas.
