Hi ladies,
I just purchased these new track pants, but they might be too poufy. What do you think? Does this styling look OK? Suggestions welcome!

For reference, this is the online photo. Maybe I just need to pull them up a bit?

I love this color palette!! Can you size down in the same color? I adore this outfit! The pants just seem a little long or too roomy through the hips. I would expect something that skims more than it poufs in a track pant.

I agree with Day Vies, the color is great on you, but the few times I've tried on crepey track pants like this that fit well, they fell like on the model, no poofing or bagginess, just a straight downward drape with a gentle taper.

Thanks for the feedback; I did try on a smaller size and they were too tight through the butt and thighs! I wonder if these can be shortened.

I was wondering the same thing about length. I'd like to see more of the scrunched hem and less of the poof, if that makes sense.

I agree with the others, that the length looks like it is an issue. But the color is so beautiful on you!

I agree they look too long. Did you get them at Nordstrom's? Could they be shortened?

I liv the pants! I think it is length. If they're riding too low on waist, you might take up waist and get some length adjustment that way. I have a similar problem with my EF. Pants I posted-- with flats I feel they're too long and make that poof. In these styles there is not a fitted calf that " scrunches" as Rae requests and so there is just whatever droop and drape. Hemming would require removing the elastic and repositioning or doing without and creating a tapered hem, I think, but the experts should weigh in. My pants have zippers through knit cuffs so I did not pursue hem change.

Stunning outfit, Jeneva. I agree that maybe they need to be shortened. I don't think that would be a difficult job. I hope it works out!!

Such a beautiful color and drape! I agree that they're a bit poofy at the ankle, but I think they're lovely and worth the expense of alteration.

I too think they are lovely, the soft springlike colors are so nice in these modern pieces (track pants and moto). Agree that hemming to eliminate a bit of poof would be favorable.

What a stunning color palette on you Jenava. I love the trousers and don't find them too poufy at all, especially since I can imagine the fluidity and movement when walking. But I do think they are too long. If you bought at Nordstrom, will they shorten for you? If you can get them hemmed, I would consider keeping them.

Gorgeous outfit on you! I love the muted color palette. I think the pants are just a bit too long, not too big. Any competent seamstress can shorten them for probably less than $20. I'd say they'd be worth the cost to do so, imho!

You always look so great in pale, subtle colors/pastels, Jenava! Great blouse to tie all together. I was wondering about the length of the pants, too-if they can be shortened a bit, or just slimed down the pufiness to the ankle. Love the show choice, too!:-)
