Wowwwwww keeeeeeeepp or send them to me (just kidding wrong size)

I adore shoes like this: sort of tongue-in-cheek “fancy.” Would be fab with a really sharp blazer.

I think they're fun! I'd love to see them with white in the top someplace to kind of tone down the brightness of the pearls. But the price is good and they are comfy - keep.

Can I just say how much I am enjoying this thread? I love the diversity of opinions and appreciate that you're not all just "being nice". (I mean you are not being unkind, but I think you're being HONEST, which is just so much more interesting and informative!)

Lyn, anchie, star, kkards, missvee -- thanks! I guess bottom line is that I have room to play. Yes to adding white OR keeping an outfit all black, to playing the boot up and playing it down.

Jessikams -- that's it -- tongue in cheek fancy. While I struggle to find legit fancy, some cheeky fancy won't hurt my cause. (And gives me some fun options to play around with.) A blazer would be fab.

Robin -- yes, I think a bit of white somewhere would be effective! I've been on the lookout for the right white shirt forever. Maybe this will be the year....

They're very cool- I vote keep!

Only YOU can figure out if you would actually wear the boots; we at YLF are a bunch of enablers, lol. I bought a similar pair of boots at a similar price last year but ultimately decided they were too chunky for short me, and silver but not pearls are more in my wheelhouse. That being said, I just bought the uber chunky silver boots below but have yet to wear them. My Michael Kors boots are way sparklier and chunkier than they look in the photo so I have to be mindful of what I pair with them.

Btw, I have super fussy feet and have learned it is easier to get a comfy fit with combat style boots. Don't ask me how many pairs I have.

I think they're pretty fun, a modern way to do a punk look, but the thing that really gets me is your grin in these photos--I want to have that much fun in all my outfits! If I have a pair of inexpensive, comfy boots that makes me smile that much, you had better believe I would buy them first and ask style questions later.

I vote KEEP and I love them. Then again, I am more on the side of too much is never enough as far as embellishment goes. But I particularly love pearl details on boots, as they can lean punky/stompy or dressier. Add in the comfort factor and your happiness wearing them, and they're a win.

Ooh ooh, inspiration food for thought, too: Currently watching The Watcher on Netflix. It's a pretty silly show, and maybe thriller/horror isn't your thing, but Naomi Watts's wardrobe is pretty darn cool. Lots of tans, creams, and whites from the ankle up, then capped off with black stompy boots. It totally works. I would be curious to try them out that way.

Haha, Carol! No Gucci belt in my future, either! We can admire Bijou's!

Thanks, suntiger!

Donna -- you are the queen of awesome but comfy footwear. May I say I kind of worship at your feet?!

Lesley -- Making a note to check out the Watcher or at least the style from the show. Sounds like some good inspiration!

Sharan -- yes, it's just lovely with Bijou's style!!

KEEP! Heavy black boots with all sorts of looks -- especially wide leg pants and dress -- was all the rage in NZ and is what I'm seeing in Europe as well. I'd guess that these will only look better and better over the coming years, and they are totally you.
