Hi all, hoping I can bug you with another keep or return question. This sweatshirt is from BR and I quite like it ... It's sort of cute and different, but still simple. I bought it because I thought it might be cute with my winter white cords - bit for some reason, I don't love it with them. I was set on returning but wonder if it might be a fun spring piece ... So I tried it with my white crops and sandals. What do you think? Cute? My style? Too meh? Thanks

It's okay, but not sure I like how/where the peplum sits.

Great combo for spring but I think Elizabeth is on to something with the peplum. You might need the petite length although if it shrinks in length, it might just be fine.

Agree that it's super-cute, but it doesn't seem to have the precision that a lot of your pieces have. Maybe a petite fit or try sizing down?

Agree with Elizabeth, Kellygirl and SarahD8 - very nice sweatshirt, but the peplum sitts too low. Perhaps in petit?

Like others, I am not sold on the ruffle back. I find this kind of detail very hard to get right... How difficult would it be to exchange for a petite or a size down to compare?

In addition , apart from fit, I’m not sold on the high contrast with white bottoms. I know they showed exactly that look in stock photos. This is certainly a personal preference type of thing but speaks to how many bottoms you see wearing it with, if you did get the fit you like.

I love the idea of this for you. I think it could be super useful. I would love to see you compare a few sizes. Also, if you're sure this is the right size (it's hard to know for certain) -- try scrunching those sleeves.

I like it with the crops and sandals.

I love the top on you, Helena. Nice peplum and a great change of pace. The fit looks great. Fluid with the flounce in the right position. Scrunch the sleeves.

Great top with the jeans. Looks like you need more of a covered shoe for that outfit though - seasonally confused otherwise. (I am more sensitive to those combinations though - the forum less so).

Hmm, lots to think about here! Thanks for the feedback everyone. Angie, really appreciate you weighing in and your vote of confidence makes me feel more confident too! Navy sneakers might fit the bill better, and likely I would wear canvas sneaks with this outfit, so I'm good with that.

I have to exchange my other top, so I will try the smaller size, just to compare. But I think I'll keep it and call it an experiment in something a little different!

Joy, I do like the feel of it ... my style has relaxed over the last few years, so I like the idea of having a sweatshirt to throw on, and I like that this one is a little different and dressier - and still in my comfort zone with the color and simplicity.
Thanks all; I really value everyone's input; it makes me more discerning and wiser (which I can use!!)

FWIW, I had a "different" sweatshirt from BR for several years (it had sequins) and I LOVED it.

I also have a peplum top made out of similar material that is super useful.

So...all in all, I think it could be a good purchase.

Thanks Suz! I could see it being one of those surprise work-horses - I think once I compare the fit of this against the smaller or perhaps a petite version size, just to see which is best, I'll be more confident. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I think it is adorable! I think it is your style with a bit of a "cute" twist, but nothing over-the-top. I think it would be a fun item to keep and experiment with.

I bought this in a red small at my local Banana Republic. I've been loving the femme yet practical, warm feel of it. Mine is a relaxed fit but not as big in the shoulder area as your navy one. Can you try one size down before you make up your mind? It's really a fun piece, and so easy to wear.
