K/R - The Power of Jersey!

I had heard good things about jersey knit, so I decided to try a skirt and wrap top in it. I ordered these before my closet overhaul this weekend.

Fushia Wrap Top - I think the color of the top overpowers me. I love the idea of fushia, but I don;t think I can do it in practice.

Black Skirt - As for the skirt, I think it is okay, but not sure it is good enough to earn a spot in my closet.

Thoughts? Am I just tired after too much wrangling of a sick toddler? Or is the closet overhaul showing me I already have better to why add something not as good?

I like them both on you, though I'm interested in what others say. You sure wear a wrap style well.

Love the fit on you. The fuchsia might look a little less forward with jeans. I think brights with black often need to be softened a bit with a scarf or something. That said, it will still be fuschia, you have to love it I think.

I actually like both of them. I think the colour is great on you, and you wear wrap styles like nobody's business. The skirt is flattering and seems versatile enough to wear with almost any topper, and that alone would earn it a place in my closet.

I'm with you Thistle. These items look all right, but all right is not 9s and 10s and you have better outfits.

I too, was curious what other's opinions were : ) What about a skirt or pant in something other than black? I was thinking jeans too. Do you already have a similar skirt?

Perhaps I have been following the pear shaped recommendations too much . . . I have very few bottoms not in black, dark grey, or dark brown!

I bought jersey pants in black too, but those you shall not see as I thought they looked like PJ bottoms and showed every lump and bump!

Well, you need to take my opinion with a grain of salt, because I am the Fuchsia Queen (self-proclaimed). But given as I rule this kingdom at will, I say you have more than earned a place at court!

In all seriousness, I do not think it overwhelms you in the photo, but only you can say how it looks in person.

I also really like the skirt. I think it could be super useful if you do not have another flirty type of skirt.

Also, if you plan on doing any sort of travelling at all, these items will earn their cost. I tend to bring jerseys with me every time I travel anywhere because you don't have to worry about wrinkles.

I am also a fan of fushia, and I think you wear the color very well. I vote to keep both items, I can see them being very versitle. Jersey knit washes well, it's pretty much a wash and wear fabric. Perfect for busy moms!

I like both items too and think the fuschia looks good on you. Personally, I prefer more low contrast pairings so probably wouldn't wear the top with black without a scarf or jacket, as Jules mentions.

I think the skirt can be a nice different silhouette. The top also fits well, and I think you CAN wear the fuchsia, but I have liked many other colors, less cool and less intense, in your photos better--seem to go with your hair coloring better. So it depends on how color-picky you are. We're not bound to always wear the "best" colors.

I love the style of the top on you and think you wear that color very well...I'm less of a fan of the skirt, mainly because I don't like pleats. So glad you're happy with so many of your lovely new additions.

Me too! I think you wear fuchsia really well, and a jersey skirt is really versatile no matter what you're up to.
