K/R - Skirt Wars Part 1 - YouLookFab Forum

So, I recently decided I loved and needed more full skirts. I reach for skirts a lot and find them easier to wear and easier to fit.

Of course, once I decided this, my sole source for these skirts in an appropriate length for me went to 60% off and I panicked and bought way more than I probably should have.

So I am begging help! I would like to return items tomorrow at lunch so I have a fresh slate for making NAS decisions when they arrive

Pics #1 and #2 are my current full skirts. I love them and wear them often. #2 was a HUGE stretch for my stylistically, and yet, it gets so many compliments every time I wear it!

Pics #3 and #4 are the first skirt and its associated tops up for contemplation. All three pieces can be returned. The red top in #3 also matches the skirt in #2. I don't know if the coloring is okay for me. My coloring is pretty muted and this red is anything but!! I also got a pink top to try with it. The pink top could be paired with jeans later.

Pics 5-9 are a patterned skirt. Dh liked it best with the black top, but I wanted to make sure others would go with it too. The black and cobalt tops I already own, but the new red one would go too. I think I agree with DH and like the black the best, too.

So, either of these contenders worth keeping? Either one, both or neither are all options here, so please give it to me straight!!

I say return the #3 skirt and the #4 top. I prefer the blue and black tops in #5 & 6. Is the skirt in 5&6 a k/r? I like it.

Yes, the skirt in 5/6 is also a keep or return.

I like the skirt in 5-8 particularly with the black top.
I think the red top suits you too, but do you need it? It's hard to get nice fitting tops so maybe you should keep it if the price is right.
The skirt in 3-4 is very pretty too but maybe a bit too similar to 2?

The patterned skirt is awesome! Keep, it goes with all the tops and is both flattering and modern.

I really like the skirt in 5/6/7. Not in love with the pink top or the pink skirt.

I like skirt 5-8 a lot. I'm lukewarm about the skirt in 3 and 4...I'd say if you have other choices you can probably do better.

I vote keep the red top (you look fantastic in red!) and wear with your current #2 skirt, return #3 b/c it is too similar to #2, and keep #5. You look great in bold colors!

I don't love the white banding on the last skirt nor the sweetness of the first skirt up for K/R. Agree the black is best with the white banded skirt - that's grown up.

Hi Thistle! I adore the skirts already in your wardrobe, and I like the last skirt posted here --- I think it would be wearable in that steamy part of September when you can't stand your Summer clothes anymore, but the thermometer hasn't dropped yet.

I like the second skirt with the black top the best. Beth Ann has some good points.

I like the skirts you own better than either of these, although both look great on you. 3/4 looks similar to 2 and 5/6/7 looks similar to 1. Of the two, I like 3/4 best and with the red shirt.

I really like your full skirts collection and agree with others that if you must return, it should be the one in 3/4. Not because i don't like it but because it is similar to the one in #2.

I decided to keep the skirt in 5-8 and the red top. Returned the rest.
