K/R - Silk shell...

Here is my new Club Monaco silk shell. I had it on my list for this S/S and got it with my gift card (yay!). So what do we think of it? I have some ideas, but I won't say them right now, I want to get opinions first. Also, how does it go with my shorts, skirts, shoes?

Some particular points I'd like to know:
- how is the sizing?
- does it look like there's too much material sticking out?
- the first pic has a tank under (you can see it), does it look bad, and is it too sheer in the rest of the pics with no tank?

I know you are in Canada so shipping and returns as pricey. I still think I might return it. For me, the deal breaker is it really seems to need an undershirt. I think that makes it a lot less versatile, especially come warmer months.

I may just be too conservative, though

Hm, I think I would personally prefer an undershirt. Pretty sheer. The fit does look nice, though; I like the drape tucked in.

Well, you definitely bat for Team Legs, Ms. Gorgeous Gams!

I think the fit is fab and very Modern. (Sticking out bits look great). I love it with the cami, and it looks fine without it too - from what I can gather from the photo. I don't mind a little bra showing unless you work in a conservative environment.

As for your outfits here - truly stunning. I feel a little fainting spell coming my way.

I like it. Looks fine to me without the camisole, but I've been lectured from the forum about my semi-sheer shirts, *shrug*.

I like it. Id probably wear a cami for work but certainly not reqd for casual environments.

Love #5. I say keep the blouse - I would wear a cami under it, but I think you could go either way.

I say keep. You don't wear it to work anyway! So you can wear it with a cami or not.

Plus, it's a great layering piece under a jacket or sweater. Not that you want to hide it all the time, but something like this is really useful when you just want a simple backdrop top for the jacket.

I think the fit is great, and I would prefer it with a cami, but it looks fine without one too.

I was not sold.from.the CM photos,but it looks a zillion times better on you than the model. I think it's very flattering and like the delicate drape with the structured shorts and skirt.

I have a shirt that's almost identical. I wear it with a nude cami. It looks great on you!

Well I'm glad to see that it's ok with most of you cami-less. I would probably wear it both ways, but I do like the streamlined look of no cami showing. I have a white tank under it here, which I think is why it shows more. I think a nude cami would help a lot. I may go get one and try it like that. I do really like the cut and fit, and it's been hard to find one like this. If only it were a touch more opaque, it would be perfect!

I think it is perfect as is. More opaque, and it would have quite another character. I vote KEEP - you look sleek, modern and stunning in it. Now I want one, too! I adore both the skirt and the shorts versions of outfits, and I'm not at all bothered by glimpsing a bra strap.
