Think about taking the fisherman sandals to a shoe repair shop, and asking their advice. They may have ideas about how to make the tongue softer, or shorter, or maybe get it to bend up a bit so it doesn't bite you.

I am really late to this sandal party but wanted to weigh in to say they are ALL fab! My faves are the B&W ones, except I worry about that tongue ....and I also love the ones with the red strap - SO pretty on you!! I am very taken with the heel on the Edelman's as well. And you know, if you wear SE shoes people who work in your small city shoe stores will BEG you to take them off so they can hold them and marvel at them. (Seriously - this happened to me on the weekend when I was wearing my Pettys.)
