K/R - Joie track pants, Three Dots Harem Pants and Chaser graphic top

Can you handle looking at a lot of pictures?

I need help!

Item One (pictures 1, 2 and 3)
The NAS Joie track pants.
Main concern: length. There is way more pooling of fabric on me than on the model. Shown dressed up (pics 1 and 2) with my new Kelly Wearstler jacket that I had been stalking for months (non-returnable, so I'm glad I love it). Shown scrunched shorter in picture 3, with different footwear, the orphaned DV wedges from last season.

Item Two (pictures 4 and 5)
Angie pick Three Dots Harem Pants
I'm sort of in love with these, they are very easy, comfortable and I think have that "instant style" factor that is so desirable. They are styled like easy loungewear here, which is probably how they would get worn the most given my casual lifestyle.

Item Three (pictures 6,7 and 8)
Chaser Jimmy Page distressed tee.
Questions: is this horribly age inappropriate? I love Mr. Page. But I will listen if you tell me it is. (Note photo 7 with the revealing back especially!) Another question: I sized up to a Medium for length and a more oversized fit. Does it work or should I size down? Third: Does this work semi-tucked, where part of the graphic is tucked at the bottom.

Thanks for your advice, and if you have gotten this far, I owe you one!!

You know I love you in those harem pants, don't you?

I like the scrunched tracks, but will you always wear them like that? I'm not keen on the extra length only because it distorts the stripes.

As for the T-shirt, the tuck is great (nonchalant), the back is fun but it is the distressing that gives me pause--not to do with age but just that the rips are a little too realistically placed and not with flattery as a priority I fear.

I'm trying to pick myself off of the floor which is where I landed when I fell off my chair when I opened first pic and saw that jacket! OH MY GOSH! I'll be back later to give uy feedback - but I can say without a doubt that the Joies look great on u and I love the way that you've styled them. More later- I've got kitties to tuck into bed!

And Marley, you have some unusual kitties. Mine doesn't like to be tucked in until, oh, 8 am or so.

Love you in picture one! you look modern and for me the tight bit around the slim ankle brings it all into proportion.

I looked at the photos before reading your queries, so I was surprised to read your question about whether the tee is age appropriate. I had been thinking how fab, cool and fun you look in it. I slightly prefer it untucked and loose (and I like the size as is on you -- it looks appropriately oversized given the style of teeshirt it is) but the semi-tucked version is fine too. I like the back of it too. It is not exactly showing indecent amounts of skin.

This is getting super-picky -- you honestly do look terrific in all the photos to my eye -- but consider wearing your hair down with the tee, not tied back or up -- not to cover the back (you could brush all of your hair in front of your shoulders to still show the back) I just like the way your hair frames your face and neck when it is loose. (Interestingly, the collar of the jacket in the first picture somehow does something similar. Your hair is not loose there and it looks fine.)

I personally have a bit of an aversion to tracksuit bottoms with pooling fabric at the bottom, but it is not that you look bad in them at all. You don't. You look amazing. I prefer the jacket closed to open wide.

Love love love the Angie pick harem trousers.

But to reiterate, my first reaction upon looking at all the photos before reading your questions was that you look absolutely fabulous in everything.

I'm not 100% sold on the joie trousers Denise, to my eye the extra pooling above the ankle shortens the leg line, this may not be important to you but may be worth considering. The jacket is all kinds of amazing!

3 dots, these are fab, comfortable, flattering and fit your lifestyle.

I've got a Whole Lotta Love for Jimmy (groan) so cannot be objective

Ack, that jacket is fan-freakin-tastic! I think the pants look great on you, but I do wonder if they aren't a wee bit long because there does seem to be a lot of fabric above the elastic ankle. I'm not a big fan of harems, but if anyone can rock them, you can, and those look good and not too extreme-harem for my eye.

And if Jimmy is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I think the shirt looks great tucked and untucked. The one point I would make is that maybe wearing your hair smoother, down or up, with the shirt would make it more mature looking, if that's what you're going for. And I agree on the distressing - it does look like what actually happens to my old shirts, not artistically distressed new stuff. But that's not a deal breaker. And your taste in music is excellent, btw.

The jacket is KILLER. So are the harem pants and the tee. So glad you sized up on it. The fit is key and you've got that sorted. I would absoultely tell you if I didn't think the tee was age appropriate, Denise. I think that as long as you don't wear it with faded torn jeans, you are sorted. Add that element of sophistication and it's fab.

I vote return the siky track pants. They look great other than the length, which is just a little long, and cannot be altered.

I am so in love with those harem pants on you that I can't see straight. Moments like this, I wish I lived in California, where a purchase like this would actually get more that 3 wears per year. Keep with a vengeance!!

The jacket is sensational on you. The colour mix is just lovely -- you glow.

I adore the tee. ADORE. You look superb in the soft grey. In my opinion it is not age inappropriate. In fact, we're the only ones who are qualified to wear it. Ha!

I agree about the track pants. Sad....they are otherwise very cool on you.

Gorgeous, Denise. I love that jacket, and the simple tee stylings are perfect. I agree with Suz that certainly you of all YLFers are "allowed" to rock that Jimmy Page tee.

Denise, this is an easy one;). Keep the harems and the tee, they look AMAZING. I think the pants in #1 are too long as you suggest.

And that is for posting the harems. I have been looking for see so I will check these out.

Jimmy Page is always appropriate. YES to Jimmy Page! And if there is a Robert Plant shirt available, I will buy it and we can be Led Zep t-shirt sisters.

I also like both pairs of pants, but the harem pants have a better fit. I particularly like how you styled them in #5.

Seriously, is there a Robert Plant tee? I'm going to dig around the site...

Looks like you are all sorted out! As an aside, have you seen the documentary "It Might Get Loud"? Jimmy Page, Jack White and the lead guitarist from U2. It was pretty interesting, especially when Jimmy Page played the riff from Whole Lotta Love.

Wow Denise -that Wearstler jacket is stunning on you! I think the Joie pants are too long unfortunately but the harem pants are fabulous. And that Page tee is a nostalgic tee at its absolute best!

The jacket is an amazing piece that you'll enjoy forever. The harem pants, particularly as styled in #5, are fabulous, and a perfect choice for your body and your lifestyle.

I'm another vote for returning the longer pants -- so sad. As for the tee? Love the rock star tee, and I love Jimmy Page. OK, so I'm not a fan of the cutouts and the distressing, but if you love it, you're definitely not "over age" for it! You pull of RATE and trendy looks with great ease.

#1 & #5 are my favorites. I love the shape of the jacket and the lovely graphic stripes across the front. I love the blouse in #5 I have a scarf that's similar & I have been trying to work it into an outfit. Perhaps inspiration has struck!

I love the harem pants in particular, especially in that killer te in #5 (where is it from?). Wish I could justify a pair!
