It's difficult to see in the pictures, and admittedly this could be my eye adjusting from skinnies/lower rise to trouser cuts/higher rise, and also just generally sensitive about recent weight gain/middle aged spread/stress eating/body blechness... and that top I am wearing in those photos is not helping....but I wanted everyone to see the jeans....
All that said, far as I can tell (and admittedly it may be quite a subtle difference nobody else can see), the back rise just seems longer & more roomy than is needed. I need the extra room in the front, not the back. The rear view in the 25's is perkier. The rear view in the 26s seems to say... middle aged, nothing can help her now, we're going south to visit the knees
Regardless, I think my plan is to keep both the 25 and 26 BR's. And wear the 26s for now, see if it's just my eye that needs adjusting. They do look good with silk Legacy blouse tucked in. But keep the 25s because they aren't that far off AND I normally drop weight in the spring. It really wouldn't take much weight loss either. Which is what annoys me about jeans. They have no mercy. A couple of pounds makes a huge difference. And as I've mentioned, my weight (especially in midsection) is fluctuating madly lately. Half the month I'm one size, the other half a different size... which is why I started wearing dresses instead!!! So much more forgiving.
