K/R - H&M lightwash boyfriend jeans

The H&M bfs came today, I had ordered them last week. I had ordered three sizes. They are long enough to wear them full length (even a bit too long). I think the cut is nice too, but I'm not sure I like the patches of lighter fabric. It seems a bit willy-nilly to me.

#1-#3
Size 29. These are too small, they just fit like normal jeans. I don't even need a belt.

#4-#6
Size 30.

#7-#9
Size 31. This one has a strange dark patch in one of the front pockets.

What do you think? I don't have jeans on my shopping list. These would be my last pair for now if you think one of them is worth keeping. I'm not sure.

I agree with you. The fading is odd . . . normally it is over the thighs to look like it has been "worn" in.

But I do like the silhouette on you! I honestly prefer the last and most relaxed of the three!

I love the shape on you! I'm torn between the 30 and 31. I think It depends on how loose you want to go. The fading is a bit strange but it doesn't really put me off them. At a push If I had to decide on a fit I think the loosest as Angie says to size up.

Thanks Thistle. I like the silhoutte too, I already have a darkwash pair that I like to wear. I thought a lighter version would be great for spring and summer, but the wash of these here puts me off.

The fit on the last pair looks good but I agree that the wash/fading is not good. I'd return.

Hmm, I like the fit of the biggest pair but I agree with you that the fading is weird. I don't mind it from the front, but I really don't like the light butt/dark inner thighs thing going on from the back.

Yeah, unfortunately the fade pattern is odd Hope you find a light-wash pair that works for you!

Love the last pair in fit, agree the fading is strange. You can try another pair in that same size though Astrid - sometimes it's just that "one" pair of jeans and another pair will be just fine.

The fade pattern doesn't bother me at all. I LOVE this silhouette on you Astrid - and the largest pair looks FAB on you! I would even (but then I have a very large slouchiness threshold) consider going up one more size. If you are looking for a pair of BFs that are in the H&M price-range, I think these are really cute!

LOVE this silhouette on you. Seriously. I say get a pair of 31s that isn't faded exactly the same; I'll bet each pair is a bit different.

Thanks Shannon! I'm not sure ordering another one would solve the problem, since the three here all look that way.

Thanks Marley! I really like the silhouette too. I tried one more size up in store and they were definitely too big for me. I think the 31 are the best fit.

Thanks Suz! I'm not sure I want to order again, but I'm going to keep my eyes open for a similar lightwash pair. There are more in the stores now then last year, it seems we finally did catch on to this trend.

Love the last size, and by all means, try another pair - I'm sure they won't have the same issue. So cute! (and your pink socks are adorable)

Thanks Mona! I actually think H&M is really TTS with those, although they are normally too small. A 29 often works for me which means the bfs are two sizes up.
