K/R - exhausted after shoe shopping (or I wish I had a smartphone)

I went shoe shopping for my upcoming holiday today after work and seriously, I'm exhausted. But I went home with a pair! Even if it took my four hours of search...

The brand wasn't known to me before, it's called Legero.

I'm not a sneaker girl at all, but these are comfortable even on my wide feet, cushy, soft and really lightweight and thin. And they still have nice soles. Awesome!

These would be my normal shoes next to the hiking boots. I also think that they look nice with bare legs and might also work with a skirt, even if it's not the best look.

Now to my dilemma - I couldn't decide on the color. I obviously got the burgundy, but I had the SA put the other color aside until tomorrow. I think I changed from one color to the other five times and just didn't know which one to get. That was the moment I thought a smartphone with YLF app might be nice!

The other color was a midbrownish taupeish color and it wasn't an exact match, but they were fairly close to the perfect bookending color. And they would really go with everything, a true neutral. Now these ones here are fairly versatile too I think, but they are definitely more noticeable.

Now you may think I bought this pair and not the other one because I DID like them best, but truly, that's not the case. I just thought I'd get the more flashy ones to show you.

Thoughts? Should I keep these? Or go back for the other ones?

(Unfortunately I didn't find a pic of the other color online. Oh and excuse my look, I haven't styled anything.)

I didn't find a jacket that would have worked. It's the wrong time now, all the jackets in the stores are too warm for the weather we will be having. But I think I have a solution - I still have a thin black Fjällräven jacket that I can take. It's gear, but it looks alright. It's a bit boxy but I think the biggest problem are the too long sleeves. I'm going to ask if alterations are possible tomorrow. It shouldn't be a problem, the sleeves are unlined and it's a cotton blend fabric.

These look great on you Astrid and it sounds they are extremely comfortable and will serve you well. I really like the burgundy colour - for one thing, they're a little more fun, they will work well with your wardrobe, plus it's one of the hot colours for this season.

I am always pro burgundy. Which pair allows you to make more outfits? And not just any outfits but outfits that you couldn't make with a different pair of shoes?

Thanks Shannon! You're right, it's one of the hot colors, I didn't think about that. They definitely look nice with jeans, purples and blues, although I didn't like them as much with the combi I wore today (black pants and green cardi with eggplant scarf).

Thanks Sylvie! I'm not sure. I think the other ones might go with everything, I feel like I may have to think more about my outfits with the burgundy ones. But I'm not sure if that would really be the case in everyday life. I don't have any red shoes, but the other ones might be more versatile for the holiday. I'm just not sure!

I like the idea of taupe for warm weather, but burgundy will transition into fall better. Probably burgundy, then.

I think you could go either way on the color and the style looks good to me. I also have wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes. Have you ever tried Merrells or Born? They both some cute casual flats with decent insoles and outer soles.

Thanks Texstyle! I haven't come across either before. I've just had a look and Merell is available here at Amazon, but I didn't find Born shoes anywhere. I'll kepp them in mind for future searches!

This colour is very "hot" now, Astrid, pls keep. I think will work better with your jacket, as that is also a dark colour, but absolutely understand your dilema, the taupe will bookend your hair so well, in but will have a better use in a warmer weather.

Thanks Deborah and Lyn! I've kept the burgundy ones. I think they'll work well enough, and the color is gorgeous. I really like the way they look, and you're all right that they will transition well into fall. That way I can wear them afterwards too.

astrid, these shoes are amazing. casual vibe but executed in a dressy suede. dresses us shorts and a tee, dresses down skirts/dresses. so so fun. i.want.
