Ok, I've just revisited this and looked through the alternate choices again, and I can see why some of the others would be easier to style, but I still like the Pliners best.

I know I'm going to have to do some experimenting with these as well. The cuffed style is a little more challenging and less straightforward than a style that hugs the ankle and fits nicely under the hem of jeans, etc., but that's also part of the appeal of them -- they're a little different and will call some attention to themselves. I'm taking notes from Jenava!

Ditto, what Sveta and Zap said. Those are the same thoughts I had as I looked at pics and wondered . . .

I absolutely adore the Pliner's on you Christy - so much so, that I kind of regret not ordering them myself. I think they have a unique style to them that sets them apart.

Thanks everyone for the additional comments. I'm going to play around in my closet this weekend and put some outfits together and see what comes together. I do know that I don't need to repeat the color elsewhere in the outfit - red is a neutral after all!
