I think I'd like this coat better if it was worn open. Which may not be practical, but it seems more like an artistic statement or element, rather than a practical garment you'd wear every day to run errands and pick up your daughter and such, except maybe to kiss her goodnight as you and her dad are on your way out to dinner and the theater.

Imagine it over a white dress, worn open, maybe a scarf wrapped around your neck, a clutch and some high heels and red lipstick...

This is one polarising garment, that is for sure!

I love everything you wear - but I don't love this. I agree that you look "all coat" rather than all you. COupled with the impracticality of lifting, I'd vote return...

I'm on team "don't love this on you". All I see is the coat, it totally overwhelms you. I'm thinking you are a low to medium contrast person, and the high contrast of this piece is too much.

I don't mind the style, but I don't like you in black and white. I don't think it suits your complexion.
