K/R - burgundy turtleneck

This burgundy turtleneck is rather long and a fluid fit through the body, although the sleeves and neck are snug. It's a lightweight cotton mix knit. I had ordered it with a discount, so it was quite inexpensive. I'm hesitating a bit because of the length, but I think I'll keep it - I have very few options for fall/winter so far. What do you think? You can see how much fabric there is in the back when I do a semi-tuck in #2.

Also thought I'd show you the penny loafers I had ordered, unfortunately they're too big. They would have been the perfect color to bookend my hair and were marked down from 120€ to 30€. Too bad...

Oh, that's too bad about the shoes; they do look great against your hair. The outfit in 3 looks very you; hopefully you plan to wear that formula often!

I think the turtleneck is a very flattering colour on you, at least on my monitor!

Thanks Alasse! Yes, the burgundy looks good. And it's a change to all the navy, blue and grey I've been wearing. I really like the way this color looks with jeans too. I could order the shoes half a size down, but that size isn't marked down as much and I'd have to pay 50€ instead.

I really like the way the t-neck looks on you so I think I'd vote to keep it. It is a shame on the shoes - but if you love them (they do look great) maybe it's worth the extra money? I'm sending three pair I tried on various sales back today.

Thanks Texstyle! Thing is I hadn't really planned to buy shoes other than a pair of "bad weather" shoes/booties/boots. These don't work for that purpose. I just added them to the cart on a whim because the price was so low, but I hadn't planned to look for or buy loafers in the first place.

Alasse - I do like them both for warmth and for looks.

You're right that the shoes do a great job of bookending your hair. 50 Euros is still much cheaper than 120 so maybe they are still worth getting in the smaller size? I think the turtleneck looks good on you. I like my tops longer so the length seems fine to me.

Do the penny loafers work w tights or socks? Or could you pop a little insert in to take up the extra space? They're so cute.

I like the colour of the turtleneck on you & I don't think the scrunching looks bad. Do you tuck into skirts? In that case length is a non-issue anyway.

Thanks Eva. They are definitely too big, with socks and tights too. I'm slipping out in the back when I walk. I would probably wear the turtleneck mostly with pants, but I do tuck into my black skirt from time to time. Tucking into the flared plaid skirt would be another option, if it's altered and sits once again in my waist.
