K/R - Blondos revisted - YouLookFab Forum

In this post, http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....londo-info, I lamented because I received my Blondos at work, tried them on and thought they were too "gappy" at the top. After trying them on at home and looking at them straight on I'm now not so sure. I guess I'm just not used to looking at a tall boot on myself that is not super tight and I'm not sure how they should fit. What do you all think? I'm not desperate for these so am not willing to settle for 2nd choice. In every other aspect they are a 10.

1 - Looking straight on with bare legs
2 - looking down at the tops - this was my original view at work
3 - side view with bare legs (I think they look fine from the side)
4 - side view with leggings
5 - looking down with leggings (somehow didn't get one from the front with leggings)
6 - my helper who was too busy playing to give me good advise

FWIW, these don't look gappy at all to me.

In #1 they do look gappy to me. But with pants they look good. I would say, return unless you're happy wearing them only with pants ... after all, you have months to find boots still, right?

Oh right, I didn't even think about being able to wear them with dresses also. I guess I'd better try them on with tights which is how I would wear them.

Also, this may be the photo, but it looks like the left is gappier on you. If your calves are a bit uneven (everyone's are) then if the right boot fits you may always be looking at a small gap on the left.

So grateful to you for posting these photos. It is really helpful to me. They look terrific with jeans. They do show a bit of gappage with bare legs. So let's see them with tights, too. And I think it would be good to get a whole body shot so you can see the full effect, you know?

It's really interesting that they decided to put that leather section on the top this year. I wonder why they changed the design. Hmmm.

I think they look fine too, but I'd rather see a little room than a pinchy top. I have a pair of boots that is now borderline at the top since I started running and my calves are more defined. I'll have to decide in the fall whether they bother me enough to let them go.

Are you mainly looking for something with jeans? Also think about if you will wear thick socks in the winter; that affects the fit with jeans.

I think these boots are gorgeous on you. They look great with jeans. They have beautiful detail and texture.
