K/R - black blazer - YouLookFab Forum

I'm searching for stuff for two dressy events (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ssy-events).

I had ordered this blazer before, but it was too big, now the smaller size arrived. The colors of the pictures are totally off, but I wanted you to see the blazer better. It's a true black IRL. And please excuse me still wearing socks and all, I just changed from my jeans into the skirts to show you the fit.

It fits well in the shoulders and I like the way it looks unbuttoned, a bit boxy but still flattering. I also think it's cropped enough to wear it with the skirts. It's cotton, so definitely also wearable with everyday outfits. I also like that only the sleeves are lined with polyester, the body is lined with cotton. And the price was great, 25€ instead of 80€.

I would have to wear it open though, it's pulling when I button it. Too tight in the waist and too wide in the bust. I don't think that would be a problem though, I'd want to wear it open anyway.

What do you think?

So cheeky and cute. I really like it Astrid. I rarely, if ever, button my blazers. I think this one would add some fun layering possibilities to your wardrobe! Keep!

Love it open Astrid - I like where it hits on you on you upper hip, shoulder fit looks good and I like the 3/4 length sleeve. I wouldn't worry about it being tight when done up as that's not how you're going to wear it. What are you thinking of pairing it with?

When I first saw the words "black blazer" I thought it might not be right as sometimes they are a bit boring to me -- but this one is really great! I would def. KEEP!

Thanks Kellygirl. I think I'd wear it similar to my denim jackets in my everyday wardrobe and I never button these either.

Thanks Shannon. I thought I'd wear it over my different skirts, it should work with all of them. Maybe even over jeans, I haven't tried that yet. But it should work with the right top underneath. Of course I've ordered this one in the first place to wear it to those two dressy events (or one of them). I think the black will go well because I'm going to wear my black ballet flats, but I don't have a skirt/top or dress yet. I'm still searching.

Astrid, I like it and I think it's a great addition to your wardrobe at that price. It IS a bit like the Amber Sun, but more fitted and close to the body (I think) and it works well on you!

Astrid -- try moving the buttons over about a half an inch -- the buttoning might work then.

Thanks Beth Ann. I'm going to try that if I feel like I need the option of buttoning, but I think for the moment I'm going to keep it as it is.
