Well, DH brought up his opinion tonight as I was once again schlepping about in the sweatpant jeans. He said "Those would be really cute a size down because your butt is baggy." I responded that they are sweatpants, after all, to which he replied that they were supposed to look like jeans and therefore fit better, which caused me to deliver a diatribe about the boyfriend look being trendy and fluid fit and how he was not keeping up.

Nevertheless, I fear he is on Team Anti-Bread Pudding Butt.

LOL Una! FWIW I think you look smashing in them.

My SO actually likes my sweatpant jeans. He says they drape nicely on my butt. Whatever that means -- I'll take it!

IK - have you tried the Big Star brand? I ended up with those instead of the AG Nikkis for different reasons but I love the ones I got. Rae is the one who suggested Big Star brand. They were much less expensive too. I don't have a problem filling out the back so much so I end up sizing up and have a just slightly roomy waist on mine. So maybe they would be a good match?

Yeah, I am Team Pancake Butt and unexpectedly bought Big Stars because they made my butt look so good. I found mine at Nordstrom and Zappos; sale was better at Zappos.

IK, I think each of these jeans is doing the thing they're supposed to and fit well for those intents. For you, I love those JBrand's and I actually like the baggy flared look on you as well (which is one I sport, but I know not many do) because it looks intentional. But as Angie said, you're the one who will wear and must enjoy the pieces. A linen blend jean sounds super fun, and if it's cheap to boot? Definitely worth playing around with. Would you be more into them as a straight/wide leg silhouette? Could be an interesting take on linen wide leg pants.

Una, my husband is FIRMLY on Team Anti-Bread Pudding Butt

The Jbrand jeans look especially good. They really highlight nice nice shape of your legs. I like how shapely your calves look in them.

The second two pairs look great and enhance your shape. I think the black ones are the most flattering but I think no 3 (flares) also have potential.

The fit of no 1 is not quite there, and for $200 they should be awesomely perfect. While figure flattery is not the only objective (comfort, fashion etc) I think you could do better if you want a relaxed slim fit.
