Looking at everything, I went pretty modern classic, Angie I see your influence!

1 -- Banana Republic basic lightweight wool jacket (wardrobe hole filler).

3 -- Two new items: Caslon knit striped jacket.

and, kelly green skinny jeans from F21, couldn't find on line. These ($15.50) replace a pair of bright pink skinny jeans from CoH ($194) that were not very comfortable and pretty spendy for a trend item. So I returned them.

4 -- Striped sweater from F21 (couldn't find on line). I was really happy to find Made in USA sweaters at F21.

5/6 -- Caslon coral sweater. I sized up, it was on sale and really really soft, this is borderline loungewear to me. I see both of these sweaters as immediate-use, from now until May.

OK so the stripes on the Calson jacket are very Sonia Rykiel. Love the green skinnies (plus I've been seeing that color in skinnies everywhere, and am now kicking myself for not getting a pair of Current/Elliott that I saw at the Rack). Blazer is good too.

I am all about F21 finds! I like almost everything. The first outfit is a wonderful suit look to my eyes. What are the pants - are they skinny jeans or something else? That striped jacket is great too. It's all good! I kind of have poison-eye for coral or salmon so I'll let others chime in.

Actually, I love everything except for the coral sweater, which I don't think hits at the most flattering spot. Still don't *hate* it, but the rest is just so perfect. You look great in a collared shirt and blazer!

Mary and Rae -- I was jonesing for our meet up which was exactly a week ago! That was truly the most fun I've had -with girls- in a long long time.

I hear everyone on the salmon sweater. The funny thing, it's the first thing from my haul that I wanted to wear. I like looking at the color and it feels good. Maybe I'll ask the DBF (dear boyfriend) what he thinks.

I'm good with the shape, it's the color giving me trouble. It's just not a color I like, though, in any context (other than actual salmon!).

I love #1 and #2 very classic.

I actually like the coral sweater and can see how this would be a great casual peice but in fact could be dressed up also.

I think you got a a great haul. I think they all look good on you. My personal favorites are 1-3. 4 is just not my style. I think the coral sweater looks totally cozy and drapey at the same time.

Hi Denise,
The black blazer is great- I think you'll wear it a ton. The pinstripe shirt is another good basic.
The striped jacket I'm having more trouble with. I really like it and it looks great on you. So what's the problem? I'm just having trouble reconciling it with my image of your style. But it could be that it's part of a style evolution, in which case that's great. My question is- does it feel like "you" ? If so, cool!

The green skinnies look great, and I have to agree with spending a smaller amount on a trendy item. (although I do LOVE the Sevens in Una's link!)

The striped sweater from F21 looks good, and Yay for made in the USA!

The coral sweater is a nice color, but the I think it's the fit that I'm not loving. Or maybe I'd like that fit in a gray or black edgy color but it seems wrong with a "sweeter" coral color. I don't know, but if it feels good to you, what the heck- go for it!

Anyway, great choices, you look terrific as always. Your LA get-together looked like so much fun!

I love #1,2 and 3. Both jackets and the blouse and the jeans all look superb. I love the color in the blue and black sweater and the salmon sweater, but don't think the salmon sweater looks as great on you as the rest.

Love everything, especially the green jeans. I have been eyeing a pair for myself. Colored denim is so addictive! The coral sweater seems big though.

The only thing I am not super excited about is the coral sweater - maybe it reminds me too much of something I wore in the distant past.

One thing I'm learning from YLF is how you wear something is as important as how it fits and whether it's current. You really know how to put something on and make it shine! I love it all, except possibly the coral sweater.
