Kork-ease boots

So I've moved on to boot editing and have one pair of boring brown mid-calf boots that I never wear because they are hard to style and a bit too narrow for my foot. I'm looking to replace them with something fun and fab, and came across these...

They are not like anything I own - but will they look dated? Or do they already? I would love to be 4 inches taller, if nothing else! They're not exactly a substitute for brown, but I have other brown boots.

When I read Kork-ease, I braced myself for something quite different, more of an un-updated blast from the 70s past. But these are definitely fun and fab! Somehow I do think they will date quickly though. Curious to hear what others think.

better longevity if wedge. the styling already looks dated to me...BUT this is not my style shoe.

Thanks, ladies! I do like the 70s retro look of these and am assuming they are not supposed to look up-to-the-minute. I guess I'm trying to figure out what someone would think if they saw these on my feet - "you go, goddess!" or "good grief, get in this century!"? Wish I could see them in an actual store....
