Knuckle rings?

Has anyone tried knuckle rings? I keep seeing pictures of them, and they look lovely, but they also seem like they might fall off really easily/get in the way.

Cool. But I can barely stop fidgeting with any ring, plus they make my hands cold. Someone should try them out...

They look cool! But I can't imagine they would stay on very well. Maybe on my right middle finger that has a big callus from writing?

I have a similar issue with multi-finger rings. I think they look so cool but I can't figure out how one does anything while wearing them since they seem like they'd prevent you from spreading your fingers apart.

Oh wow, totally different image to what I imagined from title - brass knuckles as fashion accessory.
I don't have any rings at all so I'm no help here.

Given that my husband thought the semi-tuck was a wardrobe malfunction, I can only assume he would think I was trying to wear a ring that was too small to fit over my knuckle! They look like fun though!

I was just in the mall the other day asking about these types of rings. The jeweler warned me exactly about your concern: you need to really be sure that the ring is on a finger where it's not going to fall off! For that, you need to pick fingers where the first knuckle is a little bit wider than the finger, so that the first knuckle will prevent the ring from falling off. You also have to make sure that you try the rings on before you buy to make sure that you get the exact right fit. I was able only to buy one such ring because I couldn't find any more that were the right size and that would stay on without my babysitting them.

They would drive me insane. I have enough trouble with regular rings... But it's a cool look on others.

When a person knows about this trend they look interesting, but generally speaking, it is difficult to make them look intentional to those unfamiliar with the trend. A lot of people would easily think you were trying to wear a too-small ring. Additionally, while all the other rings with it help it to look more intentional, it also gives it a fetish vibe.

I think it depends on your finger shape. Mine are tapered so these would fall off, but if you have straighter fingers they might work. They do look neat, and I think you could definitely pull them off style-wise. I love rings so I wish I could make them stay on me!

alaskagirl: I fidget a lot with my rings too, but I was thinking the placement of these rings might stop me from doing that. I've at least mostly stopped taking them off and leaving them random places ...

Diana: I feel the same way about multi-finger rings! They look awesome, but I spend a lot of time typing, and I can't imagine being able to do that comfortably with my fingers bound together, even if only at the base.

Gigi: Oh, that's good to know. I was considering ordering some online to try them out, but if the sizing is that finicky, I probably shouldn't get any without seeing them in person.

Jacky, I agree that it would be smart to at least start your search at places where you can try the rings on. The jeweler I talked to said that there is a lot of variability in ring sizes, so even if you were able to specify a ring size, there is no guarantee that the rings will all fit the same. When I was at the jeweler's, I was trying on various rings all in the same size, and some were clearly bigger than others.

Also, sometimes the rings with wider bands stay on better.

I had one once. The adjustable type that moulds on to adjust fit. Didn't need to fidget. Didn't fall off. BUT I have regrettably taperfree fingers. Like fish fingers.
