know anything about this dress?

I'm wondering who designed it and what it's made of.
Looks very "thick" or capable of holding its structure.

This is the kind of thing that I see and think, oohh, I would
wear that and nothing but that every day. Ignoring that
I would look like a laundry bundle coming unwrapped.

I also like it but have no information on the dress. On me it would probably look like a robe.

No idea. I would look so unbelievably awful in this style. I don't even wear a bathrobe because anything with a tie waist like that makes me look like a wonton.

This happens to me all the time. I am really drawn to prints but I generally hate wearing them, unless I find an animal print.

I think this would be a hard dress to wear. To me it would take an angular type person to wear it. The stiff fabric would look terrible on a softer, rounder body-type.

Happily, I've gotten to a point where I can fully appreciate something aesthetically without wanting to possess it if I know it wouldn't work on me. Sometimes I honestly just print out a picture.

honestly,she looks like she's at a day spa.

I do the same thing... I see all these fabulous looks on these tall non-curvy models and have this fantasy that I would look just as great. Oh well, dreams keep us trying new things at least.

Day spa! Hey, maybe that's part of the appeal for me - life as a perpetual visit to a day spa.

I always read conflicting advice about curves vs straightness. Sometimes
it's to drape your curves in softness, sometimes it's to rein them in with structure.

I saw something that suggested it might be Tommy Hilfiger, but I don't know about that.

I love this dress and am convinced I could pull it off. Yes. Convinced.

Even if it does look like a spa robe. LOL.

You know, a long while back I noticed that my clothes were all tending toward looking like nightwear. Camel wrap coat looks like bathrobe, etc.
Maybe this craving is the new millenial version: spa wear.

i love all type of things i could never pull off (or wouldn't feel like bothering to) myself. it's very freeing - you can just look at the passing crowd without all that worry about budgets, alterations, the color issue, and so on. for some odd reason, i've found self-imposed wardrobe limitations to be very liberating ..... ?

i like that dress a lot. it reminds me of a lot of Norma Kamali's pieces from the 1980's (jumpsuits, etc.) fun thread!! steph

I LOVE that dress, i would describe it as a structured Kimono dress and would wear a coloured version in a heartbeat!

Rose and Joan, although this dress is white, in some pictures on my monitor it came up a pale lavender grey blue. And not only can I not
wear the style but that color would put me at death's door. And I love it.
I have fair skin and I always love how women with darker coloring can
wear clothes lighter than their skin as well as darker. If I wear lighter than my skin, I'm pretty much at white. And I do wear and love white, especially glare-y white. But that dress looked so cool, so effortless.

Maybe I'm saying that I can't think of a color that would look that way on me.
