Knee high boots?

I was wondering what the verdict is on knee high boots? My stylist had me try on these flat suede weitzman boots and I was surprised to find them so cute. I live in S. California so no issues wearing suede. I just want to make sure I’ll get good use of them and that they won’t be out of style within a year! I’m not a OTK boot girl (I just don’t see me wearing them enough and don’t think I’d really feel comfortable enough in them).

Thoughts?

They’re very beautiful - and an absolute classic . I got rid of all of my over- the - knee boots this year and have been pondering the pros and cons of buying something like this - with a bit of a heel .

Cute! Nice that you can wear them with jeans as well as dresses. More versatile that way.

I forgot that I would wear with leggings and tunics as well. This tunic was too big but so many other options are possible.

I like these types of boots best with dresses and skirts, and as Lisa P said - a gorgeous classic.

@Angie - my concern is that I don’t wear a lot of skirts and dresses in the winter.

It looks great on you! You can do skinny jeans and leggings of course - would it work for special evening out with a dress or skirt for you?

They look great. I would try them with wider pant tucked in, which is a trendy look I've seen. But that's me - you need to figure out when you would wear them I guess!

Knee high boots look great on you, tammyw. I wear mine with dresses, skirts, skinny jeans/pants and leggings. The only item of clothing I don't wear with knee high boots is a puffer vest because looking like Han Solo is not my style.

I think knee high boots is a classic. With the new jeans silhouettes though, I don't find the skinny jeans and knee high boots look very trendy. By all means, I will keep my nice knee high boots, and will be wearing them from time to time. But unless you have plenty of dresses and skirts to wear them with, and you think that look appeals to you, I wouldn't invest in one this season.

You must buy. I love tall and OTK boots. Stuart Weitzman boots are totally classic and will never go out of style. I wear mine with leggings dresses, skirts and jeans, which is 90% of the winter.

They look gorgeous on you. Keep! I just purchased a a pair of knee-high, water-resistant suede boots to wear with skirts/dresses in the colder months here, and I think it’s a classic look as long as the boots aren’t too trendy (exaggerated toe, etc.). I suspect I will keep them for quite a few years. For me, they fill a long-time wardrobe hole.

Those boots look fantastic with your outfits, especially jeans! Love the belt too it would look nice worn with the jeans.

@Jess - Thank you! I lucked out with my stylist. I was returning something to Bloomingdales and she helped me and became my favorite person! She’s so good, she gets me so well, and she has helped me up my style like no one ever has before. She’s amazing!

@tammyw That’s fantastic! Did you ask her if a basic black belt would go with your jean outfits, I’m curious what she thinks. I was wondering if you did the try ons with belted jeans to see

I actually tried looking for a personal stylist near me and there is none, the closest is NYC which is over an hour and a half from me.
When I shop some stores offer help in giving opinions on what might look best and help measure to find the right fit but it’s not the same as someone trained in that field.
