Ours is old. Original to the house so it’s very 1980s, and obviously to anyone who saw my other thread, its days of looking like this are numbered. Ideally, we will tackle this project later this year. (Guest bath is finishing up this week, then tackling the master bath, and after that the kitchen!)
Believe it or not, that red wall is the only wall in this house that has not been painted since we moved here almost 13 years ago. I kinda liked it back then so we just went with it, but I’m definitelu ready for a big change in there.
Also, looking forward to having more than two burners to cook on! The grill top is great, but the next range is going to have that plus four burners.
All in all, it functions ok, but the storage is awkward and we don’t like the size and shape of the island. Oh, and we never use that little round dining table and chairs except to sit crap on, so that space could be used much better! The basic layout of the working “triangle” works well for us though. My husband has grand ideas of a huge plate glass window (!!!) and other crazy notions, but I keep trying to remind him we don’t want to spend $200,000 on a kitchen! LOL
