Recently I commented on the facebook page of LOFT asking for them to post pictures of real people wearing the new LOFT drapey silk cargo pants. They responded immediately, and are now featuring pictures of their staff members wearing their products.

Then, an article was posted on the Lucky website regarding my post and LOFT's direct response.

Oh thats awesome! Yeah I guess the concept has been all the talk around fashion mags and blogs this week.

Goes to show you that one simple feedback to a retailer CAN have an affect if they are willing to listen!!

I am really glad I could be a part of that!

Way to speak out, seeing them on their staff peaked my interest and I am going to try them. I already mentioned this in a post on this site before but several months ago JCrew's catalog featured real women who styled their own outfits and I ended up buying two things I probably wouldn't have considered on a model, one of them being a pair of pink suede platform sandals. I think using real women in advertising would be embraced by women in my age group and station in life.

Because of seeing the pants on real women I would try them, but I am still put off by the lack of back pockets. Not very attractive for the large of bum

But I agree, more retailers should do this for sure! I think it would actualy increase their market, esp. for trendy items with new shapes that most women haven't tried before!!
