Keep/Return: Navy & White Striped Jacket

Hi Ladies!

Brought this home to try.

Have just thrown it on over today's work dress. I would really envisage wearing this with blue denim jeans and white or blue toppers layered underneath the jacket.

Wondering if it's too "any one for cricket-ish"

And do I need it? #3 are all black and white:)

Opinions please;)

I like it, Deb! It's so you! I say keep! Navy and white is completely different to black and white, and fits you so well, is a fab piece!

I have a stripey blazer like that too and am just waiting for spring to break it out. I think it looks great over this dress! It's going to go perfect with jeans and any blue items. Very versatile, I think!

Hi Deborah,
this one looks longer than the others, especially with the vertical pattern. It may be a little 'dressier' too. I know that the B.S. one is an off-white stripe, so that is another point of difference. You may find it easier to style too!

It's really classic and depends how you style it whether you get the 'hooray' you don't want. IMO will look great with jeans and muted company (as opposed to bright contrast which I think will do the 'thing you don't want' AOFC that is.

I think it is all around too basic for your style, especially in the cut/design of the jacket shape, there is nothing unique about it. That's not a bad thing, but doesn't accomplish the direction of where you seem to want to be going.

I vote return.

I really like it on you. It would look great with white bottoms too as well as jeans - and navy and white is very different than black in white somehow.

I would have to say you don't NEED the jacket, but WANT is a different proposition. Great jacket, how much wear would you get out of it, given you have 2 other stripe jackets?

Mm. I am on the fence, Deb. Not because of this item, which looks great and fits your style. But more because I wonder how much added value you would get from it. On balance, if you think you have a strong use for it, go for it, because your instincts are usually correct!

I think the fit of this is fabulous Deborah and navy/white is nice to have to work with items that your black/white isn't great with. I say keep.

So, I am going against the flow. I would return it. I don't think it is as fab as what you have, and with three black and white jackets, I am not sure you would get enough use out of a fourth.

I vote return. Too Preppy for our Elegant Eclectic, although it fits well and the silhouette is flattering.

Deborah, I actually really like this jacket on you, but Angie's point is a good one. Do you feel like this jacket is too preppy for your elegant eclectic goal? And even though it's navy and white rather than black and white do you need/want another striped jacket? Especially if you mostly plan on wearing it with jeans since the black and white one would work in that case in place of this one.

I vote return on the basis of having one with too similar vibe. It is lovely though and undoubtedly versatile, but not too different.

I was unsure last night Deborah, but after reading Angie's and others thoughts, am leaning towards return, especially if you are unsure too.
BUT- Have you tried it on with jeans yet? If you still haven't worn the B.S. jacket and really love this one- maybe pass-on the unworn one- then you have more justification for keeping!?

You are such wise women! The jacket is going back:). Claudia, in particular, nailed it... It is absolutely not indicative of where I'm going style wise. And Angie, preppy, yes not my thing at all.

And I was waiting to see who would ask lol and it was Angie! No, I didn't ask hubby ha ha.

Lyn I'm really happy with the BS jacket. It just hadn't had much wear because I bought if just before the warmer weather set in

I agree with Claudia and vote return. When I saw it on you, my immediate thought was "So not your style!". The fit is perfect, and it looks nicely made. But I have a hard time seeing you in it. It is so boxy and rigid, and you are more whimsical and all about movement.
