Saturday mornings are perfect for closet review.
Here are some things I'm thinking of purging.
Bags:
#1: bronze Kenneth Cole Reaction leather bag. I used to use this one a lot but haven't reached for it at all in the past year or so. The ribbons are removable or replaceable. Not really big enough to take every day for work, and does not have a zip closure, so not the most practical. I don't have another gold-toned bag though. Does it look dated?
#2: metallic purple Sak hobo. Another one I used to use a lot - this one zips shut and is big enough for work. It's very lightweight which I like. But it is slightly beat up, and again, is the shape dated?
Tops:
#3: chambray ruffle blouse. Still fits great, but I think the ruffle collar and puffy cap sleeves might be dating it. I actually like ruffles, cap sleeves, and puffy sleeves, dated though they may be, but somehow I think it might be too much all together.
#4: printed tunic. Too body-con? I feel really pearish in this, although admittedly I would wear a jacket to balance the top.
Skirts:
#5/6: black jersey faux-wrap. Haven't been wearing this lately. Not sure why. Maybe just bored with black skirts. It's a pretty heavy jersey which drapes nicely. The waist has this weird chiffon ruffle thing that I tried to show in #6. Do you find it distracting?
#7: black pencil skirt. Almost certainly purging as the waist is too tight. I'm posting this mostly to ask a question. Do you think I need a black pencil skirt? I pretty much only wore this for things like interviews and funerals, but it was useful for those events. Should I look for a replacement? My other black skirts are funkier and less conservative.
Thanks in advance!
