I'm considering this handbag as a replacement for my four-year-old fall/winter purse that is showing some wear and tear:

However, the ever-practical side of me is concerned about the feasibility of keeping the light leather looking pristine for the long haul. I use my purses daily in season and like them to last at least 2-3 years. Anyone with experience in pretreating light leather to prevent stains and/or removing marks?
