Check out this models hair color on the LL Bean site. Looks something like mine currently (by choice), although mine is shorter - to the shoulders, and a bit darker where there is still dye. Where I am hair salons are open, but I know in many parts of the world they are not and woman are unable to do their usual color touch ups. I like this 'keeping it real' advertising. Do you ladies agree or disagree? Also, love the rose color of the t-shirt.

The model has gorgeous greys growing in at the roots. I've noticed a lot of stock photos with less heavily styled, more natural hair lately. It does appeal to me and I agree that the pandemic has normalized looks that would have been unacceptable before.

And here's a Find (love that colour, good for those of us who don't want a true pastel blush!).

One of the physical catalogs I received at Christmas had the designer and her daughter modeling everything in their backyard, with pandemic hair. It was so cheering to see we really all are dealing with the same challenges.

I'm probably the only one on the entire forum who doesn't respond to this - plus have had my roots done several times already. What I get the most enjoyment from is old fashioned non-politically correct "aspirational" fashion looks. The less reality the better. But I do like smiling or at least neutral expressions, no glowering for me.

ETA: now if the style is a very blonde model with several inches of black roots, then I'm good with that. I want to see a finished product that is the choice of the model or stylist.

This lady? (I get a whole page of different models when I click.) I really like her look. It’s very vibrant. Have to admit tho I’m dying to accessorise her. I think she needs a ring... it’s the maximalist in me(!)

Rachylou, yes that is the one in the blush pink. I would also accessorise for sure. Do website models usually wear accessories?

Anchie, yes definitely a US/EU thing. For along time I could not access LLBean sites at all, it is obviously still not working fluidly.

Vildy, I get what you are saying. When people first started wearing masks as part of outfit posts I did not like it much. Something we have to wear but not to relish in wearing it, although I am totally used to seeing them now. I think I was drawn to this model because it reflects my current hair situation which shocks me every time I look in the mirror but eagerly awaiting the end result.

She does look lovely, very relaxed. Hopefully you will end up enjoying your hair and particularly not having to spend as many hours and $$ in the hairdresser’s chair.
