Thank so much for all your feedback and encouragement. i wore the dress for church (in our house) last night, and I am definitely going to keep in it rotation.
I needed your feedback because while I do wear waist surrendering styles quite a lot (once the temperature goes above 35C I don't like the feel of waisted styles I wear waist surrendering tops at other times too) my other dresses don't have the cut in shoulder and the higher neckline.
It was nice to hear all the compliments about my arms - when I had a body fat evaluation recently, and learnt that my fat levels were too high (hopefully that is changing) the main place that I was storing said extra fat was in my arms - so I'm a bit self conscious about them.
I also feel smalled busted in strapless bras - I've been meaning to post separately about this actually.
