Keep this dress?

I bought this dress on sale at Nordstrom's today. Is it a keeper? Is it too short? This is the first time I've posted photos, so I'm sort of nervous. And I couldn't resist posting a photo of my 4-yr-old in the killer super-hero outfit that she was wearing when I was taking picture : )

Wow, you're beautiful! Your knotted pearls look great! Does the dress pass the sit test? Where will you be wearing it? It's gorgeous on you and would be great for an evening out -- for wearing to work maybe notsomuch.

quite ethnic....I like it. would look great over leggings and jeans or worn by itself with indian sandals. Or as MaryK suggested dressed up with for an evening out. Looks unique and suits you.

You are stunning, and your hero makes me grin. I'd give that dress a pass. I find the pattern on your midsection and hips to be unflattering on your lovely figure.

It doesn't look too short for tights and maybe higher boots or for an evening out as you are wearing it. It would also make a great tunic.

Yes, try the sit down test as MaryK suggested. Are you in love with the dress? Do you usually wear bold prints like this?

I think it would look cute with leggings and flats. A black boyfriend cardigan could play down some of the print.

Your daughter is adorable. That's right...boys shouldn't be the only ones to have super hero fun. : )

Sarah, super job posting pictures for the very first time! Your daughter is beautiful and looks just like her lovely mom! Very pretty dress and it doesn't look too short to me. You have great legs! You've gotten some great suggestions. I like the ideas mentioned above of wearing it with taller boots, or with leggings and flats. Hope to see more of your style. Oh, and fab pearls, btw!

Yay for posting your first pic! I really like this dress--I could see it with leggings and tall boots, or with a black jacket thrown over it if you want to layer and tone down the print a bit.

Congrats on posting your first picture! I love the colors on you, but I am not sure about the large print. However, I will be quick to point out that I am pretty new to YLF and am just a beginner. I do like how you styled it with the patterned hose, boots, and lovely pearls. Supergirl is too cute for words!

It's a unique dress and I like it! Your coloring is very delicate so my only reservation is whether the print take attention away from you. I like the idea of an ethnic print though and the cut is nice on you. I think it comes down to your preference and if you feel it reflects your style. I definitely don't think it's too short.

Hey, this is my first post, so i'll be short. I love the print and it's not too short. I'd pair it with a cropped brown leather jacket and brown flat boots for an artsy bohemian look:)
