keep or toss the fall purge

Hello all. I am doing closet purge part 2. Right out I realized I should have done this before any shopping. Lesson learned. I have no bottoms but have about 25 sweaters of questionable style and age. Hopefully it wont drive you all batty. First up this pink wool. Are the rosettes still in? Keep or toss

If it isin good shape and looks good on you, I say keep. Brooches are very popular right now and I think the rosette can pass for one. (I may be overruled though. I am not a brooch person)

I think the rosettes are fine if they feel like part of your personal style and if the sweater fits you and the color makes you glow.

Try the sweater on. If it just plain makes you look good, then keep it. If it's not a 10, then yes, I'd toss it or put it in the holding area until you find a replacement.

This sweater in my opinion makes a very strong girly/feminine/romantic statement. So it depends on your style, I think. If you're girly, feminine or romantic in the looks youre comfortable and you in, I think rosettes and pink are great. Otherwise toss it.

Can the rosette really not be removed? I think they were usually just sewn on.

If not, I vote toss. If you were really a rosette kind of person you wouldn't be asking us.

I think the sweater by itself is fine.

Do you have skirts or trousers to pair it with? Do you like the way it looks on you? Does it make you feel fab?

I think those are more important than the rosettes. If are all yes, then I vote keep.

It's hard to tell just looking at the sweater without you in it. Also, it would help to see a batch of your sweaters at once so we get some sort of context. I don't think it's too dated if it's right for your body-type and style, and if you don't have 24 other sweaters that are much better. Can you try them on and post pictures in two batches?

I'd check out the fit with the banded bottom as much as the rosette. How does it fit your shape and what you'd wear it with? If it's keeping you from investing in tops that do something better for you, toss.....

I have a similar jcrew sweater with rosettes on it and have had it for years. I say keep it.

I agree with the idea that if it suits your style personality (girly, romantic, etc.) then keep it. If not, then move on. I have a couple of items that are just too girly for me and I'm looking for a new home for them now.

It's hard to say without knowing your style. It could be really cute, but it depends on whether it's "you".
