Keep or toss?

This is a Free People skirt I am trying to decide about. Does it look like Easter Sunday? Ant ideas to make it cute? I feel a little matronly in it.

I can't even believe I'm saying this, because my wardrobe is awfully sweet (I confess, sometimes in a way that makes one's teeth hurt), but if you keep it, I'd toughen it up a little. Maybe a blazer with it? Or a denim jacket?

I was thinking the same thing as Di. Any time I have a girly piece like this, I need to pair it with something to add a little sleekness, edge or toughness. Makes it more modern.

That was my thought too, maybe a blue graphic tee and a little cropped jacket. Or maybe try touches of black instead of brown. I definitely wouldn't toss it until you can experiment more.

Love the skirt. If you find it too matronly, keep away from blouses, try something more t-shirty. (Perhaps a t-shirt that has a atypical collar?) And maybe a high heeled shoe that's not very delicate? Or a shoe in a strong colour that picks up some of the colour in the skirt, but doesn't quite "blend". Anyway, I don’t find it matronly… Just punk it up a bit!

I voted yay. I think the fit and cut work very well for you. I also think a denim jacket and some wedge shoes would toughen it up. Maybe a simple tank under the jacket too.
