As I've been so enamored with the red and white coral-patterned Tahari wrap dress and am wearing my poly/spandex blend dresses all the time, I really wanted to see if there were other similarly cut Tahari dresses out there worth trying. I stumbled upon these:

Abbylee in a yellow, ivory and gray ikat print: http://www.zappos.com/tahari-b.....cTest=fw:1
Marie in a small black/white pattern: http://www.zappos.com/tahari-b.....cTest=fw:1

I had high hopes for Marie as it looked to be cut quite similarly to the coral "Tammy" Tahari dress that I love, but alas it was shorter than I like in a wrap-style dress and not as flattering as I'd hoped, so I'm sending it back.

The Abbylee dress, however, I rather like. It's a different and quieter color palette for me, and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of you being surprised to see me in such muted tones. But yellow and gray have been growing on me (I actually saw a woman in a paisley blouse with these same colors today, and I loooved it) and you know I love any excuse to use my mustard purse.

It's a faux-wrap style dress that has a slightly ruffled front panel, and the sleeves and shoulders are slightly ruched. The neckline is high enough that I don't need to wear a camisole underneath.

I'm thinking of wearing it to the semi-formal wedding at the end of the month, and would certainly wear it to work. Aside from the photographed combination with a double-strand of pearls, white watch, mustard handbag, and gray pumps, I can certainly see wearing it with my metallic pewter or bone sandals, yellow slingbacks, perhaps even my two-toned oxfords or dark purple low-heeled slingbacks. My white blazer and faded denim jacket would be no-brainers.

Is it a worthy addition to my dress wardrobe?

(Photo #2 is my blooper reel, including two out of several failed attempts to take a decent shot of me in the dress where I wasn't blinking and looking like I was going to sneeze, or moving my hand and looking like I was playing air guitar. It's hard to blame the photographer when you're taking the photos yourself, but darn it, I REALLY need a camera that works with a remote control!)

As I've heard many remarks about the lackluster dress season, I thought I'd also point out a couple other Tahari dresses I had considered. Many of these come in plus or petite sizes, too.
