I'm not sure about the sweater. I need input on that.

The black boots in 1/2 I'm keeping. I'm committed since they've been worn outside. I hope I did ok... they are now the most expensive pair of shoes in my collection so they better be awesome. LOL

The booties in 3 I'm also keeping. I think they look pretty good... yes?

What about the brown boots in 4/5? I think I need to go up a 1/2 size. Are they worth the bother of ordering a different size? They are shorter than most of the knee high boots I found and fit my calves pretty well. What do you think?

I really like the color and overall fit of the sweater on you, but do you have something under it or is that part of it? I think it would be more versatile if you could not have something under it.
I very much lIke all the boots, the black ones in 1/2 would work better with skinny jeans/leggings tucked in since they are a little fuller in the calf. The brown boots are a good color and nice calf fit.

I'm hoping the black boots will work for skirts. I have black boots for skinny jeans that fit bigger around than these. My struggle: my calves are 2 different circumferences. So the left boot fits really well and the right boot has a bit more room. I don't know what to do about that. [shrug]

Oh, increadible shrinking Brenda, do the black boots have a side buckle that can be tightened a bit? It looks as if they might, in which case they should work with skirts as well as jeans. Otherwise I agree with Jj; they may be a bit loose in the calves for wearing with tights. Then again, this could be an optical illusion.

The booties look good, too, but I confess it's a bit hard to see. Do they have a little fabric cuff on them?

I like the brown boots, too, so there it is a question of your needs and the colours in your wardrobe.

Love the colour of that sweater for you and it looks soft and wearable, but I agree with jj on this also; it would be more versatile if that's not a built-in cami (or whatever) at the neckline.

The cami is built in, so it's stuck there. I got the sweater for a steal (about $12) so I'm not too worried about versatility.

Hmmm.... I guess the saving grace here is that the black boots are from Nordstrom's, so they can still be returned... right? If the consensus is that these aren't good enough for skirts, then back they go.

I'm not very good at judging how boots fit, Brenda. I really like the style of the black boots though. The booties and brown boots look good too, I think it's worth trying the larger size.

Love that shade of green on you and I don't really mind the cami.

If your black boots have a functioning buckle on the shaft, see if Nordstroms can add another hole or two so that you can tighten them a bit when wearing with skirts. That's what I finally had to do to get something to fit the calf. The booties in #3 look great with a skirt.
I'm on the fence about the brown boots and the sweater.

The buckle on the top of the black boots fastens with velcro. I'm not sure if Nordstroms could do anything with that.

Suz, I forgot to answer your question about the booties. The booties have a strip of suede around the ankle.

All of those boots are great! I really like the brown ones too. I think the booties look really pretty with the skirt. I think they would look nice with something dressier too. Pretty sweater!

I'd bet it is easy to add a little velcro to the boots! I added some to my own black boots, and I just used some velcro from the 99 cents store. Nordies should be able to do a bang-up job.

I like those brown boots as well - that color will be really nice over denim, and I think they'd look cute with bare legs, too, when things warm up.

I like all the boots! I think the brown is worth trying in the larger size. Love the little booties Have you tried them with skinnies yet? Did they work? By the way, I saw the Clarks pair you were considering this weekend and I definitely think you made the right choice with these. The sweater looks cozy

I've worn the brown ones all day inside with thick socks and have no sore places! They have loosened up a bit so I don't think I'll need to size up.

I don't know if they work with skinnies or not. I'll try to post pics soon and you all can tell me.

Any other opinions about the black boots with skirts? I tried them on again and from most angles, they look like they lie flat against my legs. Then from one particular angle, you can tell they aren't totally flush with the top right side of my right calf. I'm still undecided. And I'm wondering if perfection is really possible.

Okay, take this with a grain of salt. I live in a hot climate and I'm a boot novice, but are thicker, cable knit tights an option? I don't know if they're in style, but maybe they would bridge any percieved gap. (Plus they'd be warm and cozy too.) I'm pushing for them and leg warmers to come back in style to fill up these boot gaps I keep hearing about. It's crazy to have to buy sets of boots for pants and another for skirts. They're not cheap!

I like both of these tall pairs on you and the booties look very versatile. The soft green sweater is very flattering, too!

Una, the angle might have changed... I don't know. My sons take my pictures and they do the best they can. LOL Sometimes it goes well, other times not so much.
