OK, so I may have ordered three pairs of boots last weekend ... but one is for sure going back and one is bordering on gear (snow boots). This is the third pair - these Steve Madden leather lace up flat boots. They were a very good deal, and reasonably comfy - they are a little tight in the toe box, but I think I can stretch them (will try tonight). What is giving me a bit of pause is that I had to cinch the laces quite tight at the ankle to get them to fit, but since the tongue is false (it's sewed down to the sides of the boot) it crumples up a bit - is this noticeable? - and there is still some bagginess at the ankle.
