Keep or return - snap judgement, please

I could use your help deciding on a couple new items. If possible, please give me a quick answer because I'm heading out of town tomorrow and need to ship back any packages before I leave. Thanks for looking!

First up: white Boden raincoat. I didn't like this as much as I was expecting to based on the catalog photo. It doesn't seem as fitted as I would like. Is it too big? Pictures 4 & 5 show it over my thickest sweater, and it still feels a bit loose even then.

Second: Matt & Natt bag. OK, I have to confess there is no way I'm returning this one because I LOVE IT! So I hope you approve.

I think the trench is a tad big. I would say at least to go down a size. Love the bag!

I agree - the trench looks pretty big especially considering the chunky layers you are wearing under. The bag is awesome and I love your outfit with the denim tunic!! Safe travels!!!

I remember someone else on the forum ordered that Boden jacket, in a different color, and was very disappointed in the bulky fit. I think the same thing is going on with you here.

Hmmmmm - just checked the Boden website. On the plus side, the coat is now on sale. On the minus side, the only colors left are black and navy graphic spot, not the white that I liked. What do you think?

Agree with others, the trench is too big. Boden sizing is weird and frustrating (to me at least).

You may not need more input, but: trench is too big (the black w/white piping is okay, but if it doesn't sing to you, then skip it), love the bag right along with you

I just wanted to add that I bought a very similar coat to yours from Boden a few years ago (it was black with white piping) and never wore it because the fit was awful. I didn't return it because I was losing weight and thought it might look better when my body looked better but it never felt right. I sold it on ebay a few months ago for almost what I paid for it, so it wasn't such a bitter pill to swallow. But it was still frustrating.

I'm bummed out because now I have to hunt for a raincoat all over again.
