Keep or Return? skirt+cardi

1. I bought this Tahari skirt at a whopping $20... I love the print, it's well made and fabric is really nice. So what do you think? Keep/return? Sorry, I shouldn't have worn my lace top with it make the skirt hard to see. The skirt look a bit high waisted, but it really is not, and I don't feel so wearing it.

2. I also have been desperately trying to find a beige cardi and this is the best I got so far. From the pictures I think it's a total failure.. I think the back view is the deal breaker.. the wide band is accentuating my widest part. I tried a few looks and they all make it look tight?

Your honest opinions on both please!

I love the skirt. I'm not wowed by the cardi though. I say keep the skirt and return the cardi.

Photo #2 of the skirt makes me wonder if the fit is exactly right? Looks like there may be just a bit of a ride up right there in the back? Otherwise, the skirt looks good!

The skirt looks great to me, good length, cut and pattern. The cardigan, as others have said, I'd vote to return. In addition to where the bottom hemline is, pay attention to where the sleeves fall as they will also draw the eye to wherever the sleeve hemline ends.

I like the skirt looks like a nice fit. The cardi, there are so many available lately, I'm sure you can find one that's a better fit. I find them hard to fit too, often they are too long in the sleeves or too tight in the underarm area.

Agreeing with everyone thus far: skirt is great, you can do better re. the cardigan. I think beige cardigans can be tricky--they can veer into Mr. Rogers territory quickly.

I know what you mean about the bottom band being too tight. I hate it when sweaters are cut that way. What about something a little sleeker, with a v-neck and no band at the bottom:

Thanks for all your feedback! I love the cardigan suggestion, however, I think it's too long on me.. as you can tell, my b^tt sticks out a bit from the side view, a long cardi covering the entire rear would just make it look bigger (most cases). I just need to be extra careful.
