I got this skirt from an online sample sale. It's pleated leather with a drawstring waist (not functional, there's a zipper on the side). Sorry for the dark photos and lack of styling. I just scrunched up my sweater to show my waist. It's a bit short but passes the sit test. I'm just not sure it's very flattering, it seems a bit boxy. The online photos made it seem more a-line.

It's not a great length or style. You can do much better.

I agree with chewyspaghetti about return. If it was 2" longer or so I think it'd look a lot better.

Another return vote. You have such great legs and lovely figure, and this skirt just doesn't do them justice.

is this so called "paper bag" skirt? you'll need a fitted top tucked in. I'd add sheer black hose/tights and otk boots. It's a fun silhouette.

That is very similar to my Theory leather skirt, but mine is a little longer on me. I'd like to see it styled differently before voting. Maybe some grey tights?

At first I thought return it, but maybe with tights, boots and a different top, you can work with it.
You're legs are so pretty.

I think you should try styling it. It looks like it has potential to me. And to reveal my bias, I have a silk skirt with a similar silhouette that I can only figure out one way to wear, so I am hoping you will show me what to do :o)

Agree with the others--it doesn't look fantastic here but I believe that you could make it look fantastic! The leather has a nice drape to it.

It's a bit short, but like others, I would love to see it with some charcoal tights, some booties, and a fitted top before making a final decision :). Can you give us a fashion show?

I'm on the fence, I think it has potential but would like to see it with a fitted top and some hose and booties. Or a chunky top and some hose and again booties.

I'd say to return it. Even with some styling, I think it is too boxy and will date quickly. Shame, but I'm sure you'll find something you like better!

I vote return too. Short skirts with gathering on basked yokes are really hard to wear. Onto something better for fabulous you!
