Keep or Return - Pleather Jacket and Cape

This jacket and cape jumped into my cart at Marshall's today. Thoughts? If the jacket (1) works, I would like to wear it like this tomorrow (plus shoes, of course). The cape (2 and 3) I would wear over jeans/trousers, not as shown!

4 and 5, featuring the purple puffer vest, would have been a keep or return, but life conspired against me. My daughter dripped milk on the puffer, and my mom ripped out the tag. ("See! I told you this was reversible! *rip*) So I guess now this is a "Keep (in rotation for fun MOTG looks) or Return (to the closet before you leave the house/ranch). I truly left no retail stone unturned this time - I bought the stripy tee (cheap) and puffer at the feed store when we went to buy stuff for our cattle.

I think these are all really nice on you. The jacket is such a good fit, and so versatile. I would keep the cape just for fun. You can wear it over a turtleneck with jeans and it's just a bit different look for you. The vest looks good on you too - wear it with jeans as you are showing and maybe a top with some blues or plums in it and you're good to go!

Love the jacket! Not as fond of the particular pattern of the cape for some reason. Maybe I need to see it styled.

I have bought clothes at our local Mill and Feed store too - funny! And at the grocery store, Fred Meyer...

Cobalt, the jacket looks great! And I think the cape thing may work well, too, once you've styled it. As for the puffer vest, I think it's an excellent MOTG item for you. Nice colour and the fit seems good.

But I must remind you, you can't wear any of these (except maybe the T?) in warm and sunny California! So I hope you are doing some shopping for the trip, too.

I like the jacket a lot. The color works well and it is a very good fit. I'm not sold on the cape. I think you are a bit lost in it.

I'm glad the jacket is meeting with approval. I will take more pictures with the cape actually styled and post them before I decide.

Suz - you are totally right. I think I have a pretty good idea of what I am going to take. Hopefully I can post those pics tomorrow. Just to prove I've been thinking about it, here are two ideas I've had. Are these darker wash jeans better?

I like both the jacket and the cape, and I think both would look great over skinnies (as in the ones you've got pictured above!).

The jacket looks great. Very cool. I like the fit on you and I think a scarf would look good. The cape I really need to see styled. On it's own I am just not sure. The puffer looks good and suitable for MOTG stuff. Really like the color. Aren't mums just the best

Love the jacket and anxious to see more photos with the cape styled. I'm wondering if the plaid might overwhelm you a bit. The vest is great for your MOTG outfits. Wow you must have a very fashionable feed store!
