Thanks for the comments! I will keep reading and thinking over them. Shopping is such an overwhelming experience for me. I don't want to settle for thigs that aren't fab, but I don't want to get exhausted and give up and wear t-shirts from college, either.
So far I am thinking:
Keep the chambray dress. My husband loves it, as do some of you.
Keep the blue floral top. If I find better summer tops, I can put this one back for next time I am pregnant or seriously overeat.
Keep the blue XS dress. Hopefully the right accessories and undergarments will make up for any deficiencies in the fabric. I do like the blue.
Keep the coral scarf.
Return the too-big floral button-up.
Return the black dress.
On the fence about:
Pink top. It was only $6!
Purple and green/blue scarves. Overexposed photos didn't do them justice, but maybe they really aren't good enough.
I think what is so hard for me is that I look best in bright colors but am drawn to subdued, natural/foresty colors and tiny prints. I feel intimidated by the idea of being bright and noticeable, but I think my beloved quiet hues wash me out. I picked up the scarf everyone likes through force of will. I knew it should look good on me, but I didn't find it naturally appealing on the display.
