So despite my recent foray into color blocking I'm not really a pop of color person. The only colored bag I have is navy.
I saw this bag in the preselect, not sure why it's not part of the sale now. The plum is much darker in person. Even on sale it wasn't cheap, so please be honest.

The first photo is with flash, second without. It's still darker in person.

What's giving me pause is how (relatively) pale & tumbled the leather is--it seems a bit at odds with the kinds of things you normally wear. I'd love to see a picture as it actually appears!

Dash, that's an interesting point! I actually thought about that too, but my thought process was different. I think that this bag adds a soft dimension to Anna's edgy style. A super juxtaposition, AND style evolution tool.

It's gorgeous but omg the price is so out there! I shouldn't talk though, I did a my fair share of damage at NAS too.

Can you model it for us so we can see how the scale works with your body?

Now I'm convinced the SA didn't look properly or look at all. I was in a rush and just jotted down what I wanted her to look for. This has always worked in the past, I just have them call me to authorize the charge/send from the other stores. I should have known something was up when she couldn't find the boots or the handbags. I just figured they were popular styles in limited numbers, but now I know I shouldn't have given up. Maybe those boots are out there too!

Things almost always come back into stock, Dresslover. Don't give up. People exchange and return like THAT is going out of fashion. Granted, footwear is harder because you need the correct size to come back into stock.

Yes, size and also the them making it back into circulation before the sale ends. I had a similar thing happen a couple years ago when DVF sold like wildfire. The dress was eventually available in all sizes, but it was a week after the sale ended.

Angie, have you ever had any luck with Nordies honoring the sale price on sellout items restocked after the sale? Eeep, I hijacked this thread. Sorry Anna.

Bring the smelling salts! Love the unique color and the simplicity of the style. And I bet the leather is like butter. Was trying to think what it will or will not go with: brown, black, grey, red, green, blue...I actually think it will be very versatile. Can you see yourself wearing it for years? Will you get tired of it? If it is functional and you love it more than any bag you've seen in ages and makes your heart skip a beat, go for it. This bag oozes quality and style.

I loved that bag when I saw it in the catalogue, but I didn't love the price. To me no bag is worth that much money. I'd invest the money for retirement and buy a less expensive bag.
