Keep or return lace up wedges, ETA Frye's photo

So I finally got these from the NAS, in Elk (grey)

But here's what they look like. The toe is noticeably darker, and I'm not sure if I like that.
I have grey Frye ankle boots, so it's not like I'm lacking in that department.

Yay = Keep
Nay = Return

If I were you I'd keep them but I love boots and I wear them with everything even if it's 105F outside

I like the darker toe on these. How similar in color are they to your Fryes? These seem quite a lot lighter than the photo on Nordie's.

I like the darker toe and the wedge heel, to me they're a different vibe than the Frye's, and the heel looks a little higher? Do you love them, or is the darker toe a deal-breaker?

I like the darker toe, although hadn't expected to when reading your description. Think t;he darker shade makes your foot look smaller.

Hmm the Fryes seem like a warm gray and these a cool gray. I think these are different enough from each other to warrant keeping both, if you love them both FWIW I really love both pairs myself!

I envy your ability to wear these gorgeous wedges. The toe color doesn't bother me...kind of like a Chanel contrast toe.

I LOVE your Frye's. Although they are very different from the new (tall) boots.

I don't mind the darker toe either -- I have a pair of Miz Mooz mustard booties that have the same effect going on.

Definitely two different vibes in your gray boots, I say keep!

I really like the new wedges! I don't mind the toe at all. To me, the ones you already own are more taupey-gray, vs. the true light gray of the new ones, so two completely different boots :)!

I love shoes like this... laces and a wedge. With laces you get a good fit, so for a heel you will be able to walk well in them.

Do you have some ideas about the clothes you want to wear with them? I think they will work well with skinny jeans, straight-leg or wide/flare leg. Also would work with tights and skirts. Do you have grey jeans?

How are they comfort-wise?

I think they are different from your other shoes; they are ankle-hugging for one thing.

They are not really my personal taste but I do like them and I think they will be great on you. They are a bit edgy looking. In fact the more I look at them... The more I like them. If they are comfy and work with your wardrobe I think they are keepers.

Yay from me. I like the darker toe it is fairly even and on both feet so it looks like it's meant to be like that and they look different enough to your current boots. However if you can't get your head around the darker toe I vote return as they will probably annoy you every time you wear them x
