keep or return, Esprit skirt, plus LC boots

I haven't been posting pictures since I've been having camera issues recently...but those are all settled now. I got the LC Dorina boots and they are perfect--they fit me perfectly in the calf without any sort of doctoring necessarily, and are fairly comfortable to boot.

So, here's the Esprit skirt I was lusting after...what do you guys think? Yay or Nay? I bought size 4 since that was the only thing close to my size that came up for sale, though a size 2 would have been a better fit--the waistband is loose on this one where I think the skirt *should* sit. Also, am I tall enough to pull such a froofy skirt off? It looks so fab on the model but I am not 100% sure on me. The print is just as lovely in person, though.

I think for the foofiness of the skirt height will not matter as much as shoulder/hip proportions; from what I can see, it balances just fine. Great boots too!

I envy anyone who can pull off a skirt like that! I agree with Aida that it's not so much an issue of height as it is proportion, and even though it's a little hard to tell from this photo, it looks like it works on you.

I would wear something very form fitting on top. Is the material silky, chiffony ? A sleeveless fitted cashmere something in the winter. In the summer- again something light , simple and fitted. The skirt is enough on its own. Everything else should be simple. However, I think it could be layered with some sort of rougher, cropped jacked to contrast with the ruffles. What sort of stockings, shoes are you thinking of and is the skirt dressy or will you wear it more casually?

greenglove: I've styled the bottom half how I would most likely style it: black stockings (these have a subtle damask pattern which you can't make out in the picture) and the black suede boots. I agree about a fitted top--and preferably in a muted color, and some sort of cropped jacket (preferably in black) over it to add edge...unfortunately i realized I don't have a cropped black blazer, just a long boyfriend style one. I have some other cropped black jackets though...
