Keep or return dresses? - YouLookFab Forum

Got a more than a few things last week shipped to me but haven't had a chance to even open the packages till today.
#1-2 Theyskens' Theory silk dress. I thought it was white but it's more of grieged cream. I don't think it's flattering in the chest area. The pleats spread out over my breasts. This a size large so can't size up.
#3 I'm keeping the bag. It's also Theyskens' Theory. I love the cross body and flame pattern.
#4-5 Zara tropical dress. This is the one I saw in the San Francisco Zara but they didn't have my size. I know I'm wearing the wrong bra. I really like it. It's very Mary Katrantzou. Could see this with my white moto.
#5-6 Zara palm tree dress. The black part is knit. I like slouchy dresses and could also see this with my white moto.

My favourite is the second dress (4-5). It really suits you. I'm a bit biased though, since I am large breasted (just like, I think, you), and hate surrendering my waist because I feel huge. From what I've seen on you, I don't think you have that issue. I still really like how the tighter dress fits your body and highlights your curves in a nice, classy way!

PS: Maybe you should size up though, or I don't know. It seems a bit tight, but how do you feel in it? Sometimes dresses look tight but actually feel good!

I say return 1-2 and 6-7. I think 4-5 is a new "date dress" for you - could go bombshell if the need occurs! Bag is very cool. After seeing your DVF dress, 6-7 is not even close in comparison to fit and look.

I love both of the printed dresses on you. I would like the white one too, if it fit a bit better. The tropical dress is amazing (as long as it's not too tight) and the last one, with the black knit panels would look really good with capri length black leggings. Cute!

you look so fab in that floral sheath and the tee dress that it hurts to look at your fabulosity. i so wanted that palm tree print to work for me but you carry it off so much better.

I quite like the first one and don't find it at all unflattering in the chest area on you. I love the shoulder/bust/waist proportions it gives. Do the sleeves seem a little long?

I really like the second dress alot. I noticed the pattern too but didn't find it a problem.

The first one isn't great and the second one would be much better if the band of black at the top didn't throw off the proportions so much.

That second dress is gorgeous and so colorful, and boy, does your figure look stunning in it. My only hesitation is that it is quite fitted - can you sit and move around comfortably in the dress without worrying that the fabric will strain?

That bag is completely fantastic. Is it crazy of me to think of pairing it with the palm tree dress?

The tropical dress from Zara is quite stunning! I also noticed the pattern in the back but it seems to emphasize the hourglass shape so perhaps it's a good design element rather than a problem.

Haven't checked responses yet, but I like the last one on you. The second seems just half a size too snug. The first one is very 1980's secretary to me for some reason. It also seems a bit demure for you. So, my vote is for #6/7!

Okay - just have to tell you how fit and wonderful you are looking, first!

I LOVE 4/5. If it is comfy (stretchy?) then go for it! I think that pattern placement thing is intentional, to show your curves. It is sexy, ladylike, and a bit out there all at once. Awesome summer dress.

I am meh on the other two. Like the bag, though.

Love the two Zara dresses! I was eyeing them online, but I have resisted because I know that A) I don't need summer dresses, and B) their sizing drives me bonkers! So I can live vicariously through you! They are different vibes, obviously, but I like them both a lot.

I'm returning #1, the color is really zombie cream. Worse than soul sucking beige.

"Zombie cream" - oh gosh, I'm going to have to steal that one. I was explaining the concept of "soul sucking beige" to my mom and she found it hilarious.

It's too bad - if the fabric had some sheen to it it probably would have worked.

Hmm ... looks like I'm in the minority here. I really like the bag.

The pattern placement on the tropical dress bothers me, although the fit on you is fantastic and very flattering. It's one thing to have an optical-illusion dress like the one Kate Winslet has worn that brings out an hourglass shape, but this dress is "BAM - BOOBS!" and "BAM! CROTCH!" and "BAM! BUTT!" The print, combined with the coloration, just makes the dress a bit gaudy to my eye. My impression of your style is contemporary with a bit of flash. This is just too much flash.

Anna, I always look at the photos before reading the commentary....so first of all...you look gorgeous even without "make up and styling."

I vote to keep the first Zara frock (I, too, had my little eye on it--like Jonesy) and to keep the TT bag. ADORE.

I love the TT frock, but it isn't you and if it really is Zombie Cream IRL...well, then send it back and let's hope it doesn't get dug up again.

Ok, now that that's over... I agree with your opinion of the white. Not fab enough for you. #2 I *love* for you, but is it a wee bit tight? I know Zara's sizing can be weird sometimes. I also love the palm tree dress - gladiator sandal boots with it? That one's perfect IMO.

The tunic I'm not as convinced about. I bet you can style it up and make it look fab, but I'm not able to visualize. . .

The bag is SO fun. I hope that sticks around (as long as it earns its keep in getting lots of use!)

I love the dress in 6 and 7. but I think its too short to be worn alone. With leggings? But if you feel ok that's not a big problem.

I love the Zara dress but holy pattern placement!!! I am dizzy looking at your perfect rear view. Can you try it with different underthingies, perhaps a highwaisted spanxie thing? I may be overly sensitive to this because my belly it is my main issue.
