I vote too big on the jacket (bittersweet, I know!), and I may think the dress is too big also. Could you go down a size to compare?

I vote return the jacket, it is too big. I'm on the fence with the dress. I like the length on you very much, as well as the pattern. Could you push the belt up a little higher? It looks a little like it's on your low waist. The belt is also too big on you. The looped look is OK, but a belt which is actually made for your size would look more streamlined.

So I guess I vote keep on the dress, as it seems my hesitation is all about the belt and belting technique not so much the dress.

I could try a size down on the dress, though it was mail order so it would involve sending the medium back... unless there's a better way to do it. My measurements just went into the "small" range in the last couple of weeks, so the idea of actually fitting in a small is very new to me. LOL I think I bought a medium because I thought I would never fit in a small.

And yes, I need a belt that actually fits me. LOL That's on my "to get soon" list.

I think the dress is sweet. It looks great belted. The jacket is definitely too big. Did you order the jacket in petite? FWIW, the small petite is quite a bit smaller and more cropped than the medium petite.

Yes, this is a petite. I think the small petite would probably be too small, which is fine since it isn't available anymore anyway. I really want a white denim jacket but it's not going to be this one. LOL

I'm going to disagree slightly with everyone here (eep!) and say I think the jacket fits you through the body, it's just the sleeves are too long. Could you roll them and see how it looks? I like the dress!

I like the dress belted but the jacket is too big. Loft has a white denim jacket in petite. They are having a 1 day sale 30% off March 12th. If you need a code I have one.

I ended up at Old Navy tonight to take advantage of their jeans sale and found the dress in a small on the sales rack! It fits better than the medium so that solves that problem.

I came home with a belt that fits as well.

I like the dress but maybe you should try a smaller size. I have a similar shirt dress and the sales assistant persuaded me to buy a more fitting size. I"m pleased I did because it seems to be more flattering to have the snugger fit.
The jacket does look too big but if you are really keen to keep it, you may be able to style it with the sleeves scrunched and open with something fitted underneath it.

Renee, thanks for telling me about the ATL jacket. I might take you up on that, though I'm hesitant about the 3/4 sleeves. Other than that it would be perfect.
