Keep or Return - Denim Shirt - at last!

Due to being disappointed several times over with fitting issues, I'd almost given up on finding a denim shirt (to the point I'd taken it off my shopping list thinking I wouldn't find one!).

But, today I found this one...

I'm thinking if it looks ok over the ponti leggings, it will probably also work over my black skinnies and black clams.

I would envisage it with a smaller more delicate floral skirt, but tried this on just for shape purposes.

But, I would like to know what you guys think of it - would a slightly longer one be more versatile?

I'm reluctant to buy a tunic length one as (well, not only have I not been able to find one), I have my fabulous denim dress to fill that need.

I've been reading Angie's blog post on Denim Shirts, and white clams are on my summer list, so I'm thinking it will go with the black clams, white clams, black skinnies, and I intend on making a few cotton summery skirts, so can make them out of a floral/print to coordinate.

I really like it because its very soft, easy to wear denim, and I think it fits me quite well. Although I think my mid-section is developing some apple tendencies these days...

Theresa -- I really like the seaming on the shirt that makes it somewhat fitted. Well done!

I agree that it's probably a bit short for the ponte pants, which I'm assuming fit you somewhat like leggings, but I think it would work great in every other configuration you proposed.

Thanks girls! The seaming is really quite nice April - and its similar in the back too - seamed so it appears to be better fitting.

I have to ask though - isn't it the middle of the night where you guys live??? I'm not used to seeing you online at this hour of my evening?!?!?!

Keep! I think you interpreted Angie's how-to correctly. I like the rolled sleeves and the layering; however, my eye was drawn to the white contrast at your hips. I'm new to YLF, so I don't if that's a trick to balance out the top or something. I think you look great!

Looks great - I really like the detailing! It does seem a bit short for leggings but it will definitely work for skirts and with other pants (maybe white denim for your upcomign spring the way Angie wore them?).

Great shirt, a definite keeper. I like it best in photos 1 and 3. I like the belt idea in #2, maybe a tad thinner belt?

I really like this shirt on you Theresa, it fits really well - no pulling, gaping and nice through the shoulders - lucky you!

The only thing I'm uncertain of is that it ends very close to the widest part of your hips. Like someone else has mentioned it might be because of the high contrast between the light blue of the denim and the black of the pants. I'd LOVE to see this with your white clams look and I love it with the skirt too!
