keep or return, boot and shoe edition

I recieved the sofft slouch boots today. I'm not sure what to make of them. I know that slouch boots can be gappier (is that a word) than non-slouch boots, but these still have too much of a gap on me to my eye.

Also, I got these ballet flats from amazon.com. Do they show too much toe cleavage? Should I get some with a slightly higher vamp?

I love those flats!

Yep, slouchy boots are supposed to be, well, slouchy, but those appear to be just a tad TOO lose.

I agree - too much gap and too much toe cleavage. I think you can do better.

Toe cleavage does not bother me. If they are comfortable I would keep them.
I think the boots are fine and do not gap too much. If you look at Angie's pictures with Frye Rory's they gap even more than yours and look fab on her.

Sveta, there's more gap than it appears in that picture, since there's gap all around, not just in the front and the back. And part of the reason it works better on Angie's Rory boots to my eye is that hers have far more scrunch than these.

Toe cleavage doesn't bother me either. I think both look fine! How do they feel?

Janet, the boots seem comfortable, I'm not yet sure about the amount of support I'd get from the flats (but I often have that issue with flats...)
